About Cloud & Network Services 

Cloud and Network Services is a leading Nokia business group that offers Network solutions on Core, Business and Enterprise segments, as well as Cloud solutions and Cognitive Services. It is a newly formed business group, that includes most of the former Nokia Software business, Nokia’s enterprise solutions, core network solutions including both voice and packet core, and managed and advanced services from its former Global Services unit. This unit will also act as a delivery channel of certain products from other business groups to enterprise customers. Cloud and Network Services (CNS) will target growth by leveraging the industry transition to cloud-based delivery, network-as-a-service business models, and software-led value creation.


Job Description

The Enterprise Vertical Solution Portfolio Manager is the business owner for the respective vertical/sector/portfolio. He/she leads the creation and development of the end-to-end segment solutions for vertical/portfolio by optimizing the use of Nokia's multi-BG and BL portfolios focussed on the Enterprise market to meet and exceed the customer vision and requirements. 

Ensure the alignment of the end-to-end segment solution offering with the reference solutions and other BG's respective product roadmaps as well as revenue and cost allocations. Leads portfolio’s serviceability assurance for pre-sales and delivery.
Drives the maturity of the solution towards industrialized offering and delivery, while ensuring both best-in-class solutions and high profitability. Is the prime marketer and promoter of the solution across all markets.

Field vertical E2E solution management and serviceability for pre-sales and delivery and is responsible for own portfolio success. To meet that leverage also vertical partnerships that maximize Nokia value.

Provides vertical market external focus for projects and portfolio candidates and creates portfolio pipeline in conjunction with the Portfolio and Architecture teams. Will transfer knowledge to key stakeholders.


Job Responsibilities & Competencies

  • Influences functional and Enterprise solutions business strategy to address internal or external business and regulatory issues (e.g. managing the solution development according to particular market needs).
  • Responsible for alignment amongst Enterprise Sales/Segment sales on customer solution needs, trusted advisor of the solution roadmap to the customer.
  • Is responsible for the high quality of processes and standards (e.g. CREATE process;  managing solutions sales funnel and leading large coordination teams across sales units, technical units and consulting / implementation organisations).
  • Enriches professional expertise with profound knowledge of the market, competition and/or academic environment in the area of specialisation.
  • Proactively identifies and solves the most complex problems and thinks beyond existing solutions to create sustainable competitive advantage (e.g. managing complex solutions by combining technology offerings from several BUs and systems and coordinating across these organisations).
  • Ensures the strategic alignment of professional direction for business-relevant organisational units.
  • Leads and coaches organisation to achieve business targets, often highly visible, high impact multidisciplinary projects or initiatives (e.g. leading projects for the development of highly complex solutions with large revenue impact).
  • Drives thought leadership, the shaping of functional strategy and senior management advice within the area of expertise, typically with global, sometimes organisation wide leverage.
  • Often leads programmes with considerable resource requirements, risk, and complexity, handles day-to-day staff management issues, including resource management and allocation of work.




  • Bachelor/Master's Degree
  • Telecommunications with 15+ years of experience
  • Good understanding of services practices from presales to project delivery to maintenance
  • Experience in Projects and/or System Integration delivery
  • Knowledge in Enterprise relevant Network Products
  • Strong presentation, business management & analytical skills
  • Customer driven
  • Understanding of customer segments such as Manufacturing, Defence, Transportation, Energy, and Public sector.
  • Strong negotiating & influencing skills
