Description:

The SoC DFTP (design flows, tools, and processes) Squad Group defines, develops and manages Nokia MN BB&SoC SoC DU R&D design methodologies, EDA tool flows, and processes for RTL design and RTL verification. We’re looking for DFTP Verification Lead to develop, deploy and lead deployment projects for new ASIC verification tools and methodologies. Our new DFTP Verification Lead is an experienced RTL verification expert who have 10+ years of background from development of ASICs. You’ll be working with latest SoC based technologies for 5G base stations.

You have a passion to learn more and you are excited doing a variety of different kinds of SoC verification related tasks as part of your job. You are always ready to share your knowledge and skills among the people you work with. You are a team worker but also efficient on independent tasks, and your English language skills allows you to communicate efficiently in our multicultural environment.

 

Focus area:

A DFTP Verification Lead’s main task is to develop, deploy, and maintain the SoC DU R&D ASIC RTL verification flow. You are closely following technical development on ASIC RTL verification area and you are responsible of road-mapping new development items further the study and ensure that new RTL verification methodology development initiatives are executed together with SoC DU R&D organization. You participate with own strong contribution to process and methodology development and manage and coordinate the development initiatives and projects.

Development and deployment of the methodologies includes tasks to ensure that correct tools are in use in RTL verification with sufficient amount and type of tool licenses available. You are responsible about development of the internal documentation and instructions and providing trainings for end-users together with vendors. End-user support and alignment between different projects and SoC DU sites are important part of the role.

You must have a strong knowledge and hands-on experience on ASIC verification, verification tools and methods. An experience in HW verification continuous integration and verification automation is a clear benefit.

 

Preferred skills

 

  • Practical 10+ years’ experience in HW design and verification in large scale ships
  • Deep knowledge of digital IC presilicon verification flows, tools, and methodologies
  • Long handson experience in VHDL/Verilog/SystemVerilog/UVM
  • Experience in creating UVM environments
  • Strong experience in HW design formal verification
  • Tool evaluation experience
  • Experience in high level synthesis
  • Knowledge on verification reuse between IP, subsystem, and SoC levels
  • Good understanding and experience on Verification management and planning.
  • Project management skills
  • Proactivity, problem solving and communication in multi-site R&D environment.
  • Outspoken person with good communication skills

 

Additional Requirements

 

  • C/C++, scripting languages
  • Linux/Unix, computing HW, job schedulers (like LSF)
  • Ability to work with flow automation
  • Jenkins and other CI and automation tools
  • HW version control and configuration management systems
  • Strong willingness to improve verification flows and methodologies
  • Strong commitment to plan, pilot and deploy new way of working
  • Willing to support end-users 
  • Training skills 
  • Fluent verbal communication and writing skills in English language
  • Ability to understand and handle bigger entities and dependencies between them
  • Good understanding of digital signal processing and related mathematics.
