The team you'll be part of

Our Business Group is a leader in wireless mobility networks and associated services. With more than 3.500 patent families essential for 5G we have a strong 5G portfolio and are a front runner in open and virtualized radio access networks (O-RAN and vRAN).

 Nokia Network Operations Master is a cloud native telecommunications network management product. We are looking for a person with strong User Interface development skills, with proven previous hands-on experience, to act as UI lead architect steering the UI evolution and development in the product.

As an architect in the lead, your main responsibilities will be guiding the teams who are developing and testing the UI software components. You participate in the design reviews and validate the designs. You have a vision of where to take the UI development, and technical competence to translate your vision to practical actions. You drive UI related development and create and maintain UI related guidelines, roadmaps and architecture documentation. You are a good team player with excellent interpersonal skills, always ready to share your knowledge and coach others, and you speak fluent English. You have a solid understanding of DevOps and agile software development, and you’re well familiar with software quality processes. Knowledge about telecommunications networks management is considered a plus

 

  Job Responsibilities & Competencies

• You will be the lead UI architect in a multi-site development organization developing a cloud native Network Management System

• You are responsible for UI requirement analysis and UI architecture evolution

• You run UI architecture community practices

• You support efforts that improve operational efficiency in UI development area

• You provide guidance and technical support to R&D teams developing UI components

• You collaborate with Product Management and understand the requirements coming from them on UI development

• You drive the UI requirements to implementation

• You support and coach the R&D teams in UI development

• You are responsible for UI evolution roadmapping

• You create innovative prototypes, to explore and demonstrate the possibilities in UI development

 

 Job Qualifications

• Several years of relevant experience in software development.

• Experience of microservices architecture

• Deep technical understanding of following technologies: React, Redux / Redux Toolkit, JavaScript ES6, HTML-5 / CSS, Node.js, Webpack, Docker, Kubernetes

• Self-driven, taking responsibility of own work

Experience of lean and agile methods

• Good know-how of DevOps and CI/CD and related tools (like Jenkins and Git/Gerrit)
