TRANSPORTATION  MANAGER
 
General purpose
  • Development and management of economical and efficient transportation services of inbound and outbound shipments.
  • Maintaining and developing logistics partners/suppliers network
  • Supporting contract negotiations with LSPs.
  • Developing the profitable and efficient transportation processes from suppliers to HUB and from HUB to customers.
  • Supporting Customer Delivery Matrix decision making
  • Plans and manages Creating and maintaining different transportation service levels for customers
  • Supporting delivery execution management in daily transportation issues
Main responsibility area
Responsible for Nokia Networks global Inbound transportation and logistics provider relationship
 
Job Description
 Provides managerial leadership, coaching/feedback and development for LSP’s.
  • Ensures the effective Transition & Implementation of globally and regionally awarded business to LSP’s.
  • Responsible for enabling consistent global delivery of best practice by LSP’s to enable End-To-End Logistics Optimization
  • Ensures appropriate policies and processes are in place for area of responsibility
  • Participation in creation and implementaation of global and regional transportation RFQ’s.
  • Strategic leadership within Nokia for Air Road Courier and Sea freight in Region, risk identification and mitigation to support key performance indicators
  • Strategic leadership of senior level relationship with transportation LSP’s
  • Direct ownership of cyclical reviews for Global LSP Partners, drive gap closure on critical issues
  • Develops & Delivers reports and presentations to senior management
  • Monitor operations & transport topics (inbound ) linked to the location under his responsibility , in a close collaboration  key stakeholders.
  • Manage the relationship between Logistics’ suppliers, Nokia suppliers and hubs to ensure daily operations run smoothly without delays
  • Accountable for LSP escalations on behalf of Distribution team ensuring prompt resolution and corrective/preventative action
  • Prepare standard operating procedures for all LSPs according to procurement contracts and Master rate agreements
  • Track & address any non-conformance from LSPs to Nokia or industry processes and implement continuous improvements
 
Position Requirements
 
Experience:
  • At least 5+ years of international  Transportation management
  • Supply chain experience
  • Industry knowledge
  • Mode of transport expertise on air, sea and road in more than one continents
  • Vendor management within logistics supplier partners
  • Continuous improvement & quality mindset with hands on experience on DMAIC and Kaizen methods 
Skills
  • Service minded
  • Fluent written and oral communication in English
  • Passion and ability to learn technical topics
  • Effective networking capabilities and comfortable in multicultural environment and virtual teams
  • Team player with an open and transparent communication style
  • Passion to learn
Education
logistics Engineering Degree (B.Sc.).
