 The team you'll be part of

Our Business Group is a leader in wireless mobility networks and associated services. With more than 3.500 patent families essential for 5G we have a strong 5G portfolio and are a front runner in open and virtualized radio access networks (O-RAN and vRAN).

You will join the RAN Business Unit and will enjoy our culture of innovation, openness, discipline, simplicity, accountability, and profit mindset. 
Your future teams are developing Nokia 3GPP mainstream radio technology products and solutions including cross-technology responsibility (Multi Radio Access Technology). Your unit’s main priorities are flawless execution of System programs including Network Management & Optimization and attached services.


What you will learn and contribute to

The challenges you will face include software specification, developing, maintaining, and testing software for our Network Management product. As part of these roles you will use modern agile and iterative development processes and object-oriented design methods, Java programming language in Linux environment. Your work can be tailored to be in line with your interests and skills. Test automation will be one of focus areas.

Who are we looking for:

  • a passionate engineer ready to be a part of an experienced testing team

  • a person who wants to make the product with highest quality

  • a tester with experience in manual and automation in software testing

  • alternatively, a system administrator for environment setup, maintenance and troubleshooting (excellent Linux and networking skills are expected)


Your skills and experience

  • Overall responsibility of specified entities (e.g. features)

  • Plans, designs, and executes items in own area

  • Makes test plan, test specification, execution and automate test cases

  • Contributes to specification reviews

  • Works according to given tasks

  • Participates in work amounts estimation in own area

  • Consults, supports, and guides own team external interfaces

  • Is responsible for sharing knowledge in his/her expertise area

  • Gives input to process development

  • Performs problem isolation and resolution

  • Applies knowledge and experience to determine root cause

  • Test automation design, development, and execution




  • Master's or bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science or Software Technology or an equivalent education.
  • Knowledge and experience in software testing (ISTQB certificate as an advantage)
  • Good knowledge of test automation tools usage (Robot FW, Python, Selenium)
  • Good knowledge of UNIX/Linux operating system (command line), IP systems/networks and telecommunication area (e.g. LTE, WCDMA, GSM/EDGE or 5G).  
  • Experience in System Testing
  • Knowledge and experience in different testing techniques, test desing and planning
  • Good communication in English (both written and spoken)
  • Analytical thinking skills
  • Very good interpersonal and teamwork skills
