The team you’ll be part of

The pandemic has highlighted how important telecoms networks are to society.  Nokia’s Network Infrastructure group is at the heart of a revolution to bring more and faster network capacity to people worldwide through our ambition, innovation, and technical expertise

Location: Sungai Petani, Kedah

The Supply Chain Test Engineering team  develops automated test solutions for ensuring the quality of newly produced hardware during manufacturing. The products we are supporting extend across the full portfolio of Fixed Networks products. Currently, we are hiring people to support our operations in our manufacturing site in Sungai Petani (Kedah, Malaysia).

 

What you will learn and contribute to

In this role, you'll be responsible for the test engineering of the new product industrialization, including:

  • Prepare the test document, develop the test strategy and design the test case according to the product requirement document and communication industry standard.
  • Support vendors engineers to build the test environment; deploy the test system to the work-floor
  • Test case design and execution

You'll also be responsible for the on-site test system maintenance, including

  • Maintain the test document according to the ECO/ECN.
  • Guide the product testing, provide necessary on-site technical support.
  • Provide trouble-shooting support on-site

 

Your skills and experience

  • Major in Computer Science, Communication Engineering or related. At least 3 years work experience with Master degree or 5 years work experience with Bachelor degree.
  • Understand the communication standard of optical communication network, test experience with related product, especially for PON / AP is preferred.
  • Be familiar with at least two of the following programming language or tools: Teststand, Labwindows, Labview, C/C++, Python/Perl/PHP/Tcl, .Net, software test experience is a plus.
  • Be familiar with the common used test instrument, instrument control and programming experience is preferred.
  • Be familiar with Linux system, programming experience under Linux is preferred.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of computer and communication network could understand the new communication protocol and product requirement swiftly.
  • Good working enthusiasm and teamwork spirit.
  • Good in communication skill and problem solving. Experience on large-scale project is a plus.
  • Good written and oral in English. Knowledge of Chinese is a plus.
