The team you'll be part of

 

Our Business Group is a leader in wireless mobility networks and associated services. With more than 3.500 patent families essential for 5G we have a strong 5G portfolio and are a front runner in open and virtualized radio access networks (O-RAN and vRAN).

 

Data Collection and Analytics Platforms (DCAP) R&D is looking for a seasoned and skilled Technical Specialist for testing. Your work landscape would be connected into technical activities in the selected role and you are expected to work with specifying, designing, implementing and testing of the DCAP solutions.

 

As a Technical Specialist for testing, you are also able to coach others and give e.g. training when needed. Part of the work is to support our customers in the troubleshooting of the data collection issues within our products. This may include onsite and remote troubleshooting, supporting network planning and optimization and specification work.

 

Your responsibilities

 

Based on your experience you could work in following role(s)

 

  • As an CI / Test automation specialist to build and improve our CI machinery and implement test automation cases
  • As a System test engineer to create/automate/run system level testing

 

In your role you will be working together with Nokia worldwide R&D, Product Management and Customer Support organizations so teamworking attitude is must for you. Customer focus and strive for getting things done is also a natural and fits to your personal qualification.

 

Qualifications

 

You have strong interpersonal skills and a passion for learning. You are well-organized, prompt in your tasks and proud of your work. You have an analytical and systematic way of working and you enjoy working with technical teams. You can work independently, but you also enjoy working together with the team including virtual multi-site teams.

 

You have skill set for certain degree of the following qualities listed below

  • System-level understanding of Radio technologies (especially 4G & 5G)
  • Understanding of the troubleshooting tools and methods (nmap, curl, tcpdump, ncat, etc.)
  • Knowledge of evolution to 5G, IoT, and Data Center / Cloud
  • Knowledge of software testing processes and automation tools (Jenkins, Github, Robot Framework)
  • Knowledge about virtualization and cloud infrastructure
  • Good interaction and collaboration skills
  • Fluent spoken and written English language skills
