The team you’ll be part of
Our Business Group is a leader in wireless mobility networks and associated services. With more than 3.500 patent families essential for 5G we have a strong 5G portfolio and are a front runner in open and virtualized radio access networks (O-RAN and vRAN).

We are looking for tech-savvy and brave people to our Tampere R&D team. In our project we utilize agile, lean and DevOps methods.

We are looking for Technical specialist (SW security) who is proactive team player having good understanding of software development and related security and privacy aspects.
 

What you will learn and contribute to

You will be part of development team ensuring that Nokia’s software security and privacy principles are followed and implemented in our products. As result of earlier working experience and/or your studies, you already have a solid understanding of the software development process and technologies. You having understanding how to consider and avoid security and privacy risks in software during development time, how to monitor/scan our software against known security issues and you can analyze the relevance of publicly disclosed cybersecurity vulnerabilities to our software. Security is never a one-time effort and thus hungry mind for continues learning is essential and you are excited doing a variety of different kinds of tasks as part of you job. Having some understanding of software testing methodologies, Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery, containerized applications, 5G technology is a plus. You are always ready to share your knowledge and skills among the people you work with. As you will be part of multicultural environment good command in English is essential.

 

Your skills and experience 

Job requirements:
•   Good understanding of software products, their security and development  (Java, Go, JavaScript, … )
•   Self-driven, taking responsibility of own work.
•   Good presentation skills, including the ability to condense and simplify complex technical topics.
•   Experience with Linux OS Environment and related tools space.
•   Security certifications (e.g. CISSP, CISM, CEH) is an advantage.
•   Masters or bachelor’s degree in computer science, security engineering or equivalent.
•   Basic understanding of what lean and other agile methods mean
 
You will be working with following topics, any knowledge on these is a plus
•    Industry best practices - DevOps, Continuous Delivery, Cloud transformation is a plus
•    DevOps tools – CI, Jenkins, Helm, Git/Gerrit.
•    Cloud native technologies – Kubernates, Kafka, Micro services architecture.
