The team you'll be part of 
Our Business Group is a leader in wireless mobility networks and associated services. With more than 3.500 patent families essential for 5G we have a strong 5G portfolio and are a front runner in open and virtualized radio access networks (O-RAN and vRAN).


You will be part of software development team in RAN Network Management and taking part in development, testing, and maintaining of our product. You will have the responsibility for specifying, designing and preparing new content for R&D in your technical area (e.g. several features) as a Technical Specialist. You are also responsible for supporting, following and reviewing the implementation done in our teams.
 

What you will learn and contribute to
We are looking for senior person, who is proactive team player having excellent knowledge of mainstream front and backend technologies, with proven previous experience of software development.


Your main responsibility will be guiding teams who are developing and testing the software as an architect or lead engineer depending on your assigned role. You are integral part of the teams that have end to end responsibility of the Network Management product. Having knowledge of agile software development and testing methodologies, Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery, containerized applications, 5G is a plus. As result of earlier working experience, you already have a solid understanding of the software development practices and code design patterns. You are motivated to guide teams taking these into use. You have a hungry mind to learn more and you are excited doing a variety of different kinds of tasks as part of your job. You always willingly share your knowledge and skills among the people you work with. You can tolerate uncertainty. In our multicultural environment good command of English is essential.
 

Role & Responsibilities
Depending on your previous experience you can concentrate more of front- or backend technologies as part of your role. For frontend we seek strong javascript background with good understanding of Node. If you are more backend oriented working knowledge of Golang or C/C++/Java is required.

• Responsible for requirement analysis, component design based on cloud native principles. You can translate customer requirements into technical product implementation. You can also produce other guiding documentation for R&D from a technical point of view. 
• Design and implement cloud native micro services in varying cloud environments
• Researching, learning and keeping yourself updated of new methodologies and technologies and implementing them in the project. The goal is continuously improve and optimize design, code, build, test and deploy as part of product development life cycle.
• Responsible for the supporting team level improvement actions as efforts that improve operational performance and availability of cloud native NMS
• Provide technical support for day to day operations of critical Cloud Service & applications
• A roll-up your sleeves & get-it-done attitude with the aptitude, passion, and curiosity for tackling a wide range of complex technical problems.
 

Job description
• Understanding and refining requirements together with product owners and architects, working according to agreed priorities
• Technical design responsibility of the software components you work for
• Overseeing the implementation of the software components, required test cases and/or frameworks and integration. 
• Troubleshooting customer or internal defects and supporting your team in fixing them 
• Evaluating, integrating and utilizing 3rd party software assets
• Creating prototypes, demonstrating use cases
• Quality mindset, “minimum viable product” and iterating on top of it later as guiding principle in your work, ability to keep given timelines.
• Lots of grounds are uncharted, you tolerate uncertainty and can explore new territories
• You are able to help and coach other sw developers in their daily working, being a role model with your own example
