Technical Leader, SoC SW

Nokia is developing the leading edge 5G solutions in Tampere.

We're looking for connectivity area SW technical lead to work on latest System-on-Chip (SoC) based processing solutions for Nokia 5G-NR (New Radio) and LTE base stations.

Focus areas for your work would be related to:

-  Ethernet SW architecture design and implementation on the world leading SoC based on latest ASICs, and FPGAs technology.

-   SW driver development for embedded CPUs

-   Working with experts of different areas to ensure the most competitive solutions.

-   Cooperating with system engineers, product development teams, suppliers and other relevant functions to solve technical issues.

-    Supporting HW/SW bring-up and debug.

More detailed planning of your role in the team will be done based on your current skill set and interest areas.

Requirements for this position:

-   Fluent spoken and written English.

-   Capability to communicate and guide team to solve technical challenges

-   Pro-activity, problem solving and communication in multi-site R&D environment

-  Well-motivated and innovative to develop/implement new 5G embedded programs.

-  Several years of experience on embedded SW programming. Knowledge of modelling SW (MATLAB, C, C++, Python, compilers, tools, RTOS, IDEs, etc.) is a bonus.

-  FPGA and ASIC technology understanding is a big merit.

-  Big bonus: Knowhow on Radio Protocol stacks related to some radio technology.

You don ' t need to master everything, but you should match to at least some of the above mention key words. And finally, do you have an ambition to become 5G L1 SoC expert?
