The team you’ll be part of

Our Business Group is a leader in wireless mobility networks and associated services. With more than 3.500 patent families essential for 5G we have a strong 5G portfolio and are a front runner in open and virtualized radio access networks (O-RAN and vRAN). As a part of our team you will get wide range of modern CI/DevOps tools to deploy your new ideas to our release pipeline and make those visible in the Nokia 5G success story. Nokia is developing the leading edge 5G solutions in Oulu and Tampere.

Technical Lead (CI) SoC SW, SoC SW Tools and Releasing

What you will learn and contribute to

As a Technical Lead, you will be owner of our SoC SW Continuous Integration (CI) pipeline development and maintenance.

You will define the steps for a world-class continuous integration pipeline and steer development towards continuous improvement and considering future needs in terms of software quality and fast delivery.

You are always ready to share your knowledge, support the people you work with and efficiently interact with your coworkers. Your English language skills allows you to communicate efficiently in our multicultural environment. 

Responsibilities:

  • Responsibility to lead design, implementation, and maintenance of continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines in SoC SW tribe
  • Work with SoC SW component development experts to build SW tribe level CI pipeline and interact with internal customers to align demands for solid SW deliveries
  • Define requirements and needs of capacity for CI infrastructure on demand
  • Drive continuous integration development direction to meet the challenges of the future faster SW deliveries

Your skills and experience

We expect you to have: 

  • MSc or BSc degree in EE, CS, or similar 
  • Strong background and experience in CI process and tools deployment in embedded SW development environments
  • Expert level experience of embedded SW development and understanding of building SW releases with Yocto environments
  • Hands on experience of technical lead role in SW test automation or CI/CD development projects and ability take a responsibility to drive technical project execution with successful results
  • Good team working skills, e.g. working together with related area specialists and ability to build network to establish good co-operation over the different SW development areas
  • Strong experience of scripting languages and tools like, Groovy, Python, Robot framework
  • Expert level knowledge of Dev Ops tools like Kubernetes, Docker, Gerrit, ZUUL, Jenkins etc.
  • Background of automated SW testing
  • Experience of JIRA tool usage
  • Capable to co-operate and willingness to learn new things every day
  • Passion to develop CI process for “next level”
  • ” We can do” attitude
