Research Engineering Internship at Bell Labs
This internship is associated to the scholarship of a student preparing Engineer degree, a Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science/Electrical Engineering.
Is motivated to learn in programming languages, is motivated to create new design in communication network control software, to implement these designs for proof-of-concepts and presentations.
Is keen in building software applications involving a combination of open source software frameworks and libraries.
Must easily express her/himself fluently in English, both verbally for working within the team (international context), for presentations and for writing of technical reports.
Additional comments on the qualification:
It is an internship for software engineering student with the objective to learn and to develop software defined network control functions for future optical networks.
Opportunities to learn and to practice experiments on real optical switching devices (ROADMs, Transponders, Routers, Switches) developed by NOKIA business lines can be scheduled during the internship of the student.
The student should be well ranked and possibly be interested to pursue in advanced research studies through a PhD in association with Bell Labs.
