Job Description

In this role, you will be part of the Infrastructure team, which ensures the stability, availability and high performance of the IT infrastructure that serves Nokia’s entire workforce and upholds the technology for almost every single interaction of the company’s business. At IT Infrastructure, we set up, maintain and optimize Nokia’s enterprise computing and networking capabilities; we administer and continuously advance our Digital Workplace; and we grant IT support to a global community of end-users. On top of keeping our end-users satisfied every day, our immediate strategic priority is to progress rapidly in our aggressive digital transformation and in our journey towards a cloud-based environment. In IT Infrastructure, you are part of a team that is redefining IT and shaping the future of Nokia.

Technical support specialist – cloud network will be responsible for IT service management handling Incident management, Problem management, Change management for cloud network security with complete knowledge of technical design, functionality, configuration, performance and quality of network security. This is a position in global network operations center (GNOC) for enabling reliable service operation for IT network services.

Job Responsibilities & Competencies

  • Analyzing production cloud network security issues and resolve
  • Follow troubleshooting mechanisms and suggest corrective action
  • Administering service requests and execute cloud network security changes
  • Own incident ticket resolution end-to-end and find a way to resolve or provide technical workarounds
  • Coordinate with L1 engineers to analyze the issue, capture new logs if required
  • Coordinate with cross technology technical team to resolve the incident
  • Track issues that are intermediate in nature until its closure working with multiple stakeholder
  • Identify the issues root cause and create root cause analyses.
  • Identify design related gaps that caused the incident and propose for preventive action
  • Work through problem management process to support technical implementation
  • Comply to change management process for change implementation
  • Engage public cloud provider technical support to troubleshoot the issue and escalate to get it resolved
  • Document cloud network security design for various projects and deployment scenarios
  • Support deployment of cloud network security design whenever required
  • Additional duties as required and possible remote implementation assistance on special projects
  • Escalate to very complex network issue to L4 engineer for support
  • Handling ticket management and reports generation
  • Work across multiple teams to remediate all possible vulnerabilities identified

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelors’ degree or engineering degree in Telecommunications/Information Technology/Computer Science or equivalent
  • Minimum of 10+ years’ experience as firewall administrator, deep knowledge of network security and 3+ year experience in handling public cloud network security.
  • Hands on experience in handling FortiGate Firewall or equivalent in large enterprise environment
  • Hands on experience in working with vpc, cloud router, interconnects and vpc firewall
  • Hands on experience in working with virtual firewall on public cloud in high availability
  • Hands on experience in working with load balancer, application gateway
  • Experience in setting up cloud network security for google cloud platform project, application environment and GCP Certification would be preferred
  • Strong knowledge in DNS solution, experience in handling cloud DNS and PaaS services
  • Experience in Azure, AWS cloud network would be added advantage
  • Ability to handle container security solutions, micro segmentation policies across all critical applications
  • Experience and understanding of Infrastructure as Code, automation, and orchestration
  • Good understanding on network technologies VRRP, DNS, ARP, Trunks, & Port Channeling, VRF, IPsec, TLS
  • Proficient in Standard Routing Protocols such as OSPF, BGP and Route Policy, QoS, VRRP, MPLS.
  • Experience in IPv6 routing architecture and deployment expertise
  • Strong knowledge on enterprise wired, wireless network, firewalls, load balancing, WAN and SD-WAN
  • Optional knowledge in the areas operating systems such as Red Hat, Ubuntu would be a plus
  • Experience in handling firewall request management, validate rules for security compliance and implement changes access firewalls in compliance with security standards and best practices.
  • Analyze the latest security recommendations suggested by the vendor and create standards
  • A background in general security practices such as identity and access management (IAM), encryption, multi-factor authentication, SIEM and supporting technologies
  • Knowledge and experience across IT infrastructure with security frameworks and standards such as ISO 27001 and other relevant security-related regulations
  • Previous experience of understanding and solving independently complex issues
  • Excellent time management and ability to handle concurrent tasks and with minimal supervision
  • Good oral and written communication skills, and ability to address conflict with others constructively
  • Requirement gathering experience
  • Understanding of ITIL processes
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Eager and capable to work in a global multi-cultural team and to develop him/her self
  • Strong customer focus
  • Drive to deliver results, “get things done” attitude
