Overall purpose

The Transportation Planner is accountable for planning, optimizing and monitoring Nokia’s shipments. He or she engages with shipment requestors, hubs and suppliers to transform shipment requests into bookings using transportation systems and applying Nokia’s transportation rules and policies

Key responsibilities/accountabilities

       Transportation planning, optimization & coordination

       Execute cyclical transport plans to build consolidated shipments using the optimal LSP, service & cost to delivery on-time to BG & Customer demands

       Liaise with shipping points (suppliers, hubs) to assess material readiness to ship, packing size & suitability for transport and stacking/delivery consolidation possibilities

       Engage with shipment requestors to understand urgency, green light, timed delivery/appointments and any Customer criteria needed to deliver according to requirements

       Support the coordination of export & import document exchange & letter of credit constraints with LSPs & order managers to prevent delays from request to pickup and then delivery

       Provides forecasts, transaction analytics and data to ODMs and distribution market teams

       Proactively monitors transportation bookings, pickup and key transport milestones

       Address identified exceptions by driving root-cause analysis & corrective actions to the LSPs

       Accountable for pre-alerts & communications of any delays to all stakeholders

       Accountable for transaction report generation in support of MBR, GDRs& ad-hoc as required

       Support daily improvement, project user testing and master data upload/validation

       Ensure process standardization across OSCs, regions, markets and shipping points

       Accountable for LSP operational escalations on behalf of Transportation Operations Control Tower team (TOCT) ensuring prompt resolution and corrective/preventative action

       Provide LSP key performance measures (both contractual & operational) and support the ODMs & GPR stakeholders in MDR & GBR meetings preparation

       Monitor & Manage the relationship between Logistics’ suppliers, Nokia suppliers and hubs to ensure daily operations run smoothly without delays

Subject matter expertise

       Knowledgeable of transportation, import & export practices

       OTM system & SAP deliver & shipping experience preferred.

       Strong analytical & reporting skills with data warehousing experience preferred

       MsC or BsC in relevant field
