Software Engineer
Job Description
The R&D Engineer has the responsibility of the delivery of features and whole systems for Nokia and its Customers. Key responsibilities are as follows:
o Analysis of Legacy technologies needs based on proposed/revised standards.
o Analysis of Next-Gen technologies needs based on proposed standards.
o Analysis of Key Customer feature requirements and adherence to global standards.
o Interaction with different technology specific feature, maintenance and quality teams and their delegates.
o Creation of meaningful documentation with regards to deliverable use and constraints.
o Participation in related Quality and Process improvement activities.
o Provide training of future members of skill-sets needed to ensure prompt delivery.
Position Requirements
o Strong analytical skills and keen attention to details
o Knowledge in Windows Application use and settings is a must
o Knowledge in Linux Environment and Application use is a must
o Knowledge in C#, C++ and/or Java coding is a plus
o Knowledge in SQL, mySQL database is a plus
o Knowledgeable of Agile principles is a plus
o Requires minimal supervision
o Passion for learning and continuous improvement
o Knowledgeable of telecommunication networks is a plus
o Can handle stress well
o Good communication skills
o Team player – can work in a multi-cultural environment
