About Mobile Networks

Mobile Networks, which includes mobile network products, network deployment and technical support services, and related network management. This business group will offer the full portfolio for customers wanting to buy mobile access networks. It target leadership in key technologies such as 5G, ORAN and vRAN.

 

Job Description

Nokia Network Operations Master is a cloud native telecommunications network management product. We are looking for system architect, with proven previous experience, skilled in cloud native SW development on Kubernetes and development of containerized microservices using Golang, Java and Node.js.

As system architect, you’ll be driving the system architecture aspects and guarding the system integrity throughout its evolution. You’ll create and maintain architectural guidelines, roadmaps and architecture documentation. You’ll guide the R&D teams who are developing and testing the software. You participate in design reviews and validate the designs. You are a good team player with excellent interpersonal skills, always ready to share your knowledge and coach others, and you speak fluent English. You have solid understanding of DevOps and agile software development, and you’re well familiar with software quality processes. Knowledge about telecommunications networks management is considered a plus.

 

Job Responsibilities & Competencies

• You work as system architect in a multi-site development organization developing a cloud native network management product

• You provide guidance and technical support to R&D teams developing the software

• You create and maintain architectural guidelines, roadmaps and architecture documentation

• You are responsible for the architectural integrity and coherence of Nokia Network Master product

• You research and innovate to keep the architectural foundation of the product current

• You participate in and contribute to architecture community practices

• You inspire others with your behavior and “CAN DO” attitude

• You support efforts that improve operational efficiency in R&D

• You collaborate with Product Management and understand the requirements coming from them

• You maint architectural guidelines, roadmaps and architecture documentation

• You participate in design reviews and validate the designs

• You support and coach the R&D teams developing the SW

• You contribute to architecture evolution roadmapping and driving

You help in defects analysis and defect fix priorization

 

Qualifications

• Several years of relevant experience in software development

• Solid understanding of cloud native SW development

• Solid experience of developing containerized microservices on Kubernetes

• Self-driven, takes responsibility of own work

• Working experience with lean and agile methods

• Good know-how of DevOps and CI/CD and related tools

• Deep technical understanding of following technologies:

-   Golang, Java and Node.js

-   Python

-   Ansible

-   Docker and containerized microservices development

-   Kubernetes

-   CNCF and cloud native technologies and components

-   CI/CD tools (like Jenkins and Git/Gerrit)
