Service Portal Senior Software Developer
Education
Required: Four year degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
Desired: Java language certification, Spring framework certification, Networking technology certification (Nokia, Cisco, Juniper)
Work Experience and Technical Knowledge
· Minimum 7 years experience in software design and development
· Minimum 5 years experience in web application development
· Minimum 5 years in development using Java
· Experience working in a Linux/Unix environment
· Must have experience with web and enterprise application development
· Experience in using code management systems (Subversion, Git)
· Understanding of SQL and relational databases (Oracle DB, MySQL)
· Hands on experience with front end related technologies such as JQuery, Bootstrap, etc
· Good knowledge of HTML5, CSS3 and Polymer.
· Hands on experience with Spring framework, Spring webflow, JPA, Hibernate, JMS, Servlet and JSP Custom Tag.
· Application development using web services, SOAP, or REST/JSON
· Expertise creating unit and automated test cases/suites/tools
· Experience with commercial and open source servers like Apache web server, Apache Tomcat, and JBoss.
· IP networking experience and familiar with concepts such as Routing Protocols (i.e. OSPF,BGP), DHCP, RADIUS AAA, MPLS, IP VPN, VLAN, VLL/VPLS, etc.
· Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
· Solid experience developing and implementing complex application components
· Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work effectively with solution architects, peer developers and testers
· Ability to work productively on projects involving multiple developers
· Strong problem analysis and problem solving abilities
· Comprehensive understanding of the web, web architecture and best practices
· Able to identify system deficiencies, design and create solutions
· Ability to deliver high quality work on time and on budge
· Understand technical and functional design requirements
· Understand standard development practices
