5G, virtualization and software driven networks create dynamic architectures and new attack surfaces.  Robust and resilient security must be maintained even when threat/vulnerability conditions keep changing.  Nokia is recruiting security experts to investigate and respond to product security incidents/vulnerabilities in its product portfolio. This Job requires you to handle vulnerabilities in various types of constituent components of Nokia products including software, hardware/firmware, OS/applications, protocols, services. You will go beyond standard suite of security testing tools and develop advanced security testing methods/scripts to validate security vulnerabilities and their impact on Nokia products. This job provides you an opportunity to work with latest technologies and R&D experts to promote security within Nokia. As a member of PSIRT, you will lead/participate in security incident/vulnerability investigations, root cause analysis and training/advising Nokia R&D community.


What you will learn and contribute to

  • Ensure quality and integrity of PSIRT: collaborate with Nokia R&D experts (BG) to implement timely, consistent & accurate incident investigations, remediation measures & customer communications.

  • Assess product security vulnerabilities reported from internal as well as external reporters, researchers and customers.

  • Validate potential vulnerabilities and their impact in the lab environment. Recommend risk remediation measures and implementation priority.

  • Monitor threat and vulnerability intelligence sources for vulnerabilities impacting Nokia products, including zero-day attacks

  • Publish security advisories for Nokia internal audience as well as customers.

  • Training and consultation.  Collaborate with global cross functional teams of experts to identify trends in vulnerabilities. Adapt and learn new processes and tools to align PSIRT with Nokia's product security initiatives


Your skills and experience

  • Leadership role in conducting security incident response exercises

  • 7 or more years of security testing, incident analysis and penetration testing.

  • Expert knowledge of security architectures, networking products/software, protocols and services. Demonstrated experience in working with 5G, virtualization and other emerging technologies. Knowledge of Nokia product portfolio

  • Prior experience in configuring and setting up network elements with a focus on security. Hands-on expertise in security hardening, traffic analysis

  • Root cause analysis:  Serve as a part of Nokia Product Security Incident Response Team. Recreate threat exploits in lab for testing purpose.

  • Expertise in using state of the art SAST/DAST tools. Ability to conduct comprehensive security analysis of different traffic types, embedded software, hardware/firmware, OS/applications, 3rd party and open source components

  • Prior experience or knowledge in conducting ethical hacking, Blue/Red team exercises

  • Excellent analytical, documentation and presentation skills

  • Self-motivated, team player and pays attention to details

  • Masters or bachelor’s degree in computer science, security engineering or equivalent

  • Security certifications: Globally recognized certifications in network security, Cloud /Virtualization security, security testing auditing, ethical hacking
