About Fixed Networks

Our Fixed Networks (FN) business group provides an array of “gigabit to the home” solutions to deliver data access to our communication service provider (CSP) customers. This includes Fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) as well as 5G fixed wireless access (FWA), xDSL and cable upgrades. We build solutions that don’t stop at the home but also bring that gigabit experience into the home using our meshed Wi-Fi solution.

Job Responsibilities
  • Project planning and scheduling
    • Project initiation with sets up and leads a project Kick Off meeting with internal team
    • Lead Project Kick Off meeting with customer
    • Adopts tools and process to ensure program is following regular process methodologies Sell ó Execute,
  • Project progress check / report towards to management & customer
    • Project Delivery for both product and services to ensure on-time delivery within agreed cost and IPIS budgets.
    • Manages financial and Project Performance
    • Project status report to Management
  • Customer Communication
    • Manages Customer expectations
    • Ensure customer satisfaction
    • Create and provide meeting minutes / notes towards to internal or customer, ensure the actions are well tracked and closed
  • Project governance
    • Drive program governance related to project execution reviews having a grip of e2e view for the program
    • Change Management
    • Risk Management
    • Issue Management
  • Responsible for Project Closure and handover to care mode


Job Role Description

Senior Customer Project Management (CPM) ensures customer projects / programmes are delivered within agreed scope, budget, schedule, and quality. Contains projects throughout all phases, starting from delivery approach identification to completion / care / operation. Comprises management of customer (and all stakeholder) relationships and expectations during the contract fulfilment as well as project team members / resources. Contains project risk management, and driving of improvement actions to secure project gross margin and upselling and cross-selling.

The Senior Customer Project Manager is accountable for an external customer programme (collection of projects managed together for business benefits) or project for an assigned product and / or service scope. Assigns tasks to the project team and manages project resources and stakeholders, ensuring the project is delivered in scope of contractual obligations and within forecasted costs, time, and required quality. Responsible for the overall project success with respect to external customer satisfaction, financial results, health & safety control activities, and operational services delivery performance. End-to-end project planning and risk and opportunity management.


Day-to-day tasks and activities highlight (FN JP specific)

You will be responsible for assigned project to make sure that our products are delivered to customer on time, on budget and on scope.
As project manager, you will be requested to drive project(s) with Nokia project members, which included product owner (located in China / Belgium), customer engineering team (located in JP), the other team of NOKIA, partner company and customers.

 Main project activities (communication with) within NOKIA

  • Product development (owner: R&D product manager)
  • Product tests (owner: CE team technical manager)
  • Product delivery specifications (owner: project manager with support)
  • Product manufacturing (owner: supply chain project manager)
  • Product delivery (owner: project manager with support)
  • Product quality (owner: Quality team manager)
  • Sales Forecast / Order (owner: CT (sales) team)

 Main project activities with Customer

  • Regular project progress session (working level)
  • Regular project management meeting
  • High priority issue progress session

Qualifications & Skills

  • University degree
  • Knowledge of project management in Telecommunications Industry.
  • knowledge of the Nokia EXECUTE process preferred
  • PMI PMP Certification is preferred or has to be obtained on-the job within 1 year
  • Strong communication and interpersonal relationship skills
  • Strong project planning and reporting skill
  • Able to manage strong customer relationship
  • At least 5 years of experience with telecom project delivery as customer project manager.
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Strong financial management skill
  • Must be able to work under pressure and demanding environment 
  • Preferred to have experience worked with non-Japanese people      
  • Fluent writing / speaking in English
  • Native writing / speaking in Japanese
