The team you’ll be part of

What you will learn and contribute to

  • Collaborate with cross-LOB teams to drive:

  • Multi-year business plans

  • Strategy for SaaS, including defining best practice adoption approaches

  • Definition and adoption of standard SaaS business practices

  • Definition and vendor selection for SaaS business platform (for internal use)

  • Definition of subscription-based and consumption-based pricing models

  • Definition of internal and external SaaS messaging

  • Definition of, and roadmaps for, SaaS offers

  • Definition of internal revenue/cost share models for complex services

  • Evolution of SaaS delivery and operations platform, including site reliability

  • Identification, coordination, enablement of channel and technology partners

  • Internal and external marketing communications roadmap

  • Sales/GTM strategy and execution, including identification of target markets and engagement approaches (e.g., business development, demo definition, commercial incentives such as free trial)

  • Evangelize SaaS with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Advise executive management on business cases and roadmaps, with focus on steps towards long term differentiation and success.

  • Understanding and ability to predict the market trends with respect to SaaS and help define strategy to a leadership position in the marketplace.

  • Identify and manage regulatory, data sovereignty, privacy and security compliances for SaaS solutions.

  • Lead cross-organization initiatives.

  • Engage with industry standards definition organizations as required.

  • Ability to model pro forma financial projections for market offerings.

  • Ability to influence customers, channel & technology partners, analysts.

  • Ability to mentor and enable product managers, particularly regarding SaaS business and technical best practices.

 

Your skills and experience

  • Software-as-a-Service development and delivery expertise.  Must have recently held senior Product Management role for SaaS services.

  • Telecommunications expertise. Must have recently held senior Product Management role in the Core Network of Telecommunications:

  • Experience with 3G, 4G, 5G required.

  • Experience with network disaggregation (software from hardware, decomposed service-based architecture, NFV) required.

  • Experience with RAN and transport networks a plus.

  • Vision for how core communications networks transform to SaaS expected.

  • Recognized seniority and experience, operating at an executive level within and outside of the company.

  • Recognized seniority and experience coaching product teams.

  • Exceptional finesse in handling human interactions and conflicts.

  • Exceptional organizational awareness.

  • Exceptional communication, written and oral.

  • Demonstrable technical depth, breadth, and capacity to learn quickly.

  • Firm understanding of XaaS best practices.

  • Firm understanding of leading IaaS/PaaS vendors and platforms.

  • Firm understanding of Cloud Native technology, including leading open source packages, vendors and platforms.

  • Firm understanding of P&L, SaaS pricing strategies, revenue modeling, margin analysis, business case development.

  • Firm understanding of the Order-to-Cash value chain.

  • Working knowledge of agile methodologies (e.g., Scaled Agile).

  • Experience with contracts, legal agreements, patents.

  • Experience with contemporary, market-leading commercial SaaS software a plus.

  • BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area.

  • 10 or more years of Product Management, Portfolio Management, Software Engineering or related experience.
