Education – bachelor degree in science or language/ journalism
Years of experience – over 12 years of experience in technical writing
Special skills – keen interest in technology, strong grasp of written English suitable for high level storytelling, mastery over rhetoric
 
Liaise with the key research, CTO and Bell Labs Consulting leaders to ensure speaking content are managed effectively
Organize and use an electronic archive for version control and for library storage of source materials and past speeches
Extraordinary application of grammar and AP style
Exceptional writing skills for all deliveries, speech to online/written
Prior role/s working in corporate communications, internal communications and/or executive communications
Strong experience translating technical jargon into compelling stories
Deep understanding of key futuristic technology areas
Detail and accuracy oriented
Thrives under pressure and is able to deliver compelling content quickly
Knowledge of core business principles
High ethical standards; able to manage very confidential information and projects.
Driven to excel – always wanting to win, but win in the right way
Curious, willing to learn
Effective project management to ensure timely and impactful delivery
Able to work effectively in a rapidly changing and demanding virtual environment across time zone
Collaborative work style with a bias for action. Team player
Good interpersonal skills to work as part of a team combined with ability to engage with senior leaders inside Nokia.
 
Preferred: Global experience a plus. Native speaker of English or an ability to demonstrate strong native-like writing capability in English preferred. Prior experience in writing (journalistic writing, writing for large scale corporate communication engagements or writing for public figures) is must.
