EMEA product management of IP routers, network management and Carrier SDN solutions.

 

Role :

  • Provide senior IP pre-sales/product management leadership supporting the IP business in the EMEA region
  • Be a speaker of external customer events and representation of Nokia
  • Help define the Carrier SDN strategy of Nokia
  • Provide IP/MPLS and Network Management technology leadership on the basis of the Nokia IP product and NSP (Network Services Platform) portfolio.
 

Main responsibilities :

  • Provides roadmap updates in the region
  • Promote NSP into new sale opportunities
  • Deep technical IP/Solution knowledge (level 5)
  • Manages customer requirements to the PG(s)
  • Provides/Collects competitive updates/information in the region
  • Manages new product introduction in the region
  • Conduct product/solution presentations to internal and external customers
  • Provide product/solution RFP support
  • Evangelist internal/external in conferences
  • Positions/pro-actively pushes solutions/technology into the region
  • Continuously seek for new applications that can be addressed with the product and/or solution
  • Provides white-paper/solution descriptions + powerpoint solution presentation
  • Influences customers architectures/network evolutions
 

Qualifications:

·         University degree

·         Detailed understanding of IP/MPLS technologies, network management and Carrier SDN concepts (Netconf/YANG, …)

·         Cisco CCIE, Juniper JNCIE or equivalently qualified is a plus

·         Proven experience in designing complex, operationally critical data network architectures

·         Proven record in customer focus

·         Analytical problem solver

·         Proven presentation skills

·         Ability and demonstrable experience in presenting to network operations/architecture/strategy teams as well as ability to engage with senior management at the customer

·         Detailed knowledge of IP market vendor landscape

·         Deep understanding of real customer networks

·         Experience in influencing large multi national project teams is a must

 

Extra’s :

·         Because the role is an integral part of the EMEA IP Regional Business Centre, the ability to work as part of a distributed team is critical.

·         The role will require international travel, sometimes at short notice. A flexible approach to work, especially when communicating with other Nokia groups, is essential, as is the ability to thrive under pressure and prioritize tasks.

·         A reasonable amount of travel should be expected as this is a European role requiring high customer contact

·         Requests for support material maybe required in short timescales enforced by the customer so time management skills are vital

·         The job requires a very good understanding of customers’ network architectures and practices and therefore must understand a customer operational processes and confidentiality concerns

·         Conducting product demo’s in front of the customer could bring a level of stress to the role
