Technical skills and experience:
The successful candidate will have experience in some or all of the following areas (7+ years experience):
  • More than 10 years experience in Telecom field
  • Expert knowledge of Software Defined Networking (SDN) engineering, design, service models, deployment models, practical implementations, operations, security and future trends.
  • Detailed knowledge of hypervisor and virtualization technologies such as KVM and VMware ESXi.
  • Deployment and integration experience with Cloud Management Systems (CMS) such as Cloudband, OpenStack and VMware solutions.
  • Fluency in Linux Operating Systems (platform management, software repositories, network configuration) with demonstrable scripting capabilities in shell and python.
  • Configuration and deployment of Linux bridging, Open vSwitch (OVS) and OpenFlow.
  • OS and kernel optimisation including SRIOV and DPDK technologies.
  • Expertise in networking technologies relevant to SDN/Nuage: IPv4 and IPv6, MP-BGP, EVPN, QoS, VXLAN.
  • ReSTful, SOAP, Web Services API Integration experience (for example, OpenStack, AWS, Cloudband, VMware vRO/vRA).
  • Has experience delivering solutions in a DevOps environment and/or using agile or lean project delivery practices.   
  • Software development experience is an asset.

  •  Hold a Bachelors degree or higher in Computer Science, Telecommunications or Software Engineering or has equivalent work experience.
