The team you’ll be part of


Nokia’s People organization is responsible for leading a business-driven people strategy and offering people and workplace services to all Nokia employees. We partner closely with the business to provide a motivated and engaged workforce that is fit for the future.

As a part of the Global People & Places organization (Former Real Estate), the Internal Communications UR Student acts as a strategic partner to the Markets Organization and Global Functions to support and build awareness with our target stakeholders. Creates, plans, guides and ensures the implementation of Nokia's internal communications activities. We are currently developing content such as Articles, newsletters, news, promoting events to support the organization's business goals.


 Education Recommendations

Currently a candidate for a Bachelor's degree or diploma in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Business, or related field with an accredited school in Canada


What you will learn and contribute to

As part of our team, you will:


  • Collaborate with the Global People & Places Manager (P&P) to identify key engagement topics and  success stories
  • Tailor global internal comms campaigns for the P&P audience to ensure messaging and the right impact
  • Learn and document from the Nokia communications culture & best practices, to ensure continuous improvement of Comms messaging and channels
  • Proactively identify communications activities to further company-level culture, integration, and change initiatives
  • Assist in Monthly All Hands Calls and other Info Sharing Forums, including proposed agenda, identifying and securing speakers, extending invitations, and assisting in developing deck and content 
  • Interact with key stakeholders to determinate, compose and publish stories that contribute to the engagement and business objectives of the P&P organization


What is Nokia looking for from me

You have:

  • Experience in planning, writing, and editing for a variety of internal comms platforms
  • Preparing and editing communications for organizational publications
  • Social/digital and employee engagement platforms i.e. Yammer, Sway, and Microsoft Office

It would be nice if you also had:

  • Skills in the development of presentations in PowerPoint
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving skills
  • Energetic, creative, and able to work on your own initiatives.
