Position:
Solution Specialist
 
Experience:
2+ years of experience in telecom industry/relevant field, preferably Radio equipment industry.
 
General Role:
Support Nokia products, radio solutions on presales phase for mobile radio network technologies including but not limited to 2G, 3G, 4G and 5G with defined customers and/or prospects for Latin America and North America. Understand and capable of define 2G, 3G, 4G and 5G solutions supporting sales engineers/managers to answer RFI/RFP/RFQ, SoC and be able to define technical sales descriptions of Nokia radio products for all radio technology including small cells and WiFi products.
 
Main Responsibility Area
Presales support in product and solutions. Understanding client needs, identifying solutions to non-standard queries. Awareness of internal/ external business issues. Answering RFx, SoC, solution proposals and specific product costing for the solution coming from different costumers from Latin America and North America. English communication (speaking and writing) is a must on this role.
 
Job Description
Solution Specialist/manager for bid preparation/proposals as a back-office function on presales activities.
Analyze customer bid documents (RFx) to identify the needs of Mobile Networks for Nokia Radio related products and solutions.
Prepare bid responses based on Mobile Network technologies (2G, 3G, 4G and 5G).
Communicate with regional solution sales managers and solution architects for consulting and preparing bid responses.
Defines and documents technical customer solution, responds to technical parts of tenders, and prepares solution and radio product costing/pricing.
Capable of providing coaching, mentoring, sharing best practice and providing expert level technical knowledge with the rest of the team.
Provides key contact and relationship with the global Business Lines and counterparts.
To be a source of expertise for others in the required technology area.
Understanding communication service provider / operator needs.
Capable to propose technical solution.
Matching customer needs with Nokia products/systems/services and translating solutions to provide clear customer value and benefits.
Contributes and adds value to the proposed solution.
Quality delivery of the defined tasks within defined timeliness as per bid directive.
Complete Case Management for cases managing the delivery of bid including co-ordination, technical solution finalization, and ensure quality reviews for all the bids.
Handle multiple cases as per the Regional requirements (handle overload situation)
Raising red flags, bid related concern at the right time so that the bid can be delivered on time.
Ensure adherence to the Quality & Process Guidelines, Involve and contribute to Internal Quality Reviews
Available to work in a multicultural environment and have occasional meetings in an extended labor time and in a different time zone.

Knowledge on radio technologies, 2G, 3G, 4G, 5G, Small cells and WiFi.Knowledge of PDH/SDH/DWDM and Carrier Ethernet protocols, and a general understanding of Switching/transport/Core/EPC/RNC/BSC concepts would be beneficial.
Good knowledge of the network design, traffic handling capabilities calculations and understanding of traffic characteristics for network dimensioning.
Good knowledge about network and interfaces.
A team player with experience of working operationally with a multi-cultural environment
Customer focused and process oriented
Quality delivery of the defined tasks within defined and limited timeliness according bids technical requirement.
Handle multiple cases as per the Regional requirements (handle overload and stress situation)
Raising red flags, bid related concern at the right time so that the bid can be delivered on time.
Ensure adherence to internal Quality & Process Guidelines, Involve and contribute to Internal Quality Reviews
Proficiency with various office software applications including Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, and Excel
Fluency in English Language oral and written communication skills are must, Portuguese is a plus
