Our Business Group is a leader in wireless mobility networks and associated services. With more than 3.500 patent families essential for 5G we have a strong 5G portfolio and are a front runner in open and virtualized radio access networks (O-RAN and vRAN).


Nokia is looking for exceptional candidates to join its RAN Product Line Management graduate scheme, starting in October 2022. The intent to develop these candidates into tomorrow’s business leaders.


RAN Product Line Management (PLM) is part of the Mobile Networks (MN) division of Nokia. MN is responsible for all aspects of mobile access networks covering a wide range of hardware, software, network management, site solutions and microwave backhaul. It covers product management, business management, sales and marketing disciplines and is responsible for ensuring that we have the right RAN capabilities being made available at the right time which are brought to market in a way that the sales teams can sell them effectively and our customers can take advantage of them to drive their business. 


We are looking for individuals who not only have the technical knowledge around mobile access networks, but also have the interpersonal and communications skills to bring that knowledge to bear in a fast moving and complex market, recognising that success is not only a matter of technology.  As part of the programme, the graduates will cycle through different roles over a two-year period to gain a wide knowledge of the product environment in a way that develops both their technical and non-technical skills.  At the end of the two-year period they will move into an ongoing role.


What you will learn and contribute to

As a member of Site Solutions PdM team (your first assignment), you would work with and contribute to following tasks

  • Customer feature request management:
    • Feature creation process, work closely with feature owners on selected topics
    • SW feature backlog priority handling
    • Input creation to release planning
    • Contribution to roadmap
  • BTS configuration handling for different type of deployments and customer use cases (e.g. Classic, Cloud, Macro, Small Cell)
  • Technical communication  material creation for internal and external use (e.g. sale guide, technical workshop with customers)
  • Participate f2f customer meetings, workshops on selected topics

During the program, you would cycle through other roles for getting wide knowledge in both technical and non-technical skills. You will be exposed e.g. to

  • HW focused product issues like product specification, reliability, product performance, product cost management, environmental requirements
  • Baseband, RF, Site solution requirements
  • Product phase in/out process
  • Customer Documentation
  • Customer requirement understanding
  • Real BTS site exposure, site surveys
  • Operability aspects
  • Competitor intelligence


Your skills and experience

 You have:

  • A ’can – do’ mindset that can focus on delivering defined objectives.
  • A good understanding of Mobile Network technology and the telecommunications ecosystem. 
  • A team player with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organisation.
  • Has the ability to work autonomously and independently within the team environment.
  • The ability to understand complex issues and propose innovative solutions.
  • Has a strong eye for detail and the provision of high quality deliverables.
  • Comfortable with flexible working methods and environments.
  • Education: University Master’s degree or equivalent.
  • Fluent in English with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong capability in Microsoft Office tools
