- Minimum 7-10 years of experience as a buyer/planer working with telecom products
- Expert applied knowledge of forecasting, planning, MRP, transportation and supply chains
- Initiates purchase orders for parts, services and/or special tools; arranges for submission and inspection of sample products as required
- Secures and analyze quotations, negotiates prices and terms with suppliers, and recommends suppliers with respect to cost, quality and delivery
- Plan, schedule, and track product builds at contract manufacturing partners and other providers of fabricated parts
- Proficiency with MS Office suite – advanced skills with MS Excel required
- Excellent organization, communication and follow-up skills
- Analytical and methodical approach to problem solving
- Experience with large system MRP tools, preferably in a SAP environment
- Willing to work and meet with international teams on product development
- Bachelor’s degree or APICS certification a plus
