Principal Research Specialist
- A MS/Ph.D (preferred) in Electrical Engineering with specialization in Digital Communications, Digital Signal processing and Wireless communications.
- An experienced leader with extensive technology experience and deep ties to 3GPP standards. Strong previous experience of leading R&D functions. (10+ years) is highly desirable.
- Proven ability to successfully drive forward technology vision and strategy planning. Demonstrated ability to apply technology solutions to the business strategy.
- To provide strategic technical thought leadership and direction to Research and Standards Group alongside identifying requirements, influence thinking, develop technical strategies and manage expectations.
- To outline an overall technology vision and strategy for next generation Radio Technology. Focus should be on 5G/5G Evolution features like NR-Unlicensed @ sub 6GHz/mmWave bands, mmWave and Terahertz communication, Non Terrestrial Networks, Industrial IoT and NR-Light, Full Duplex Communication, Medium Access Control (AMAC) and Radio Resource Management (RRM).
- Drive Machine Learning techniques specifically for RAN with focus on localization, Industrial IoT (IIoT) and Vechicle to Everything (V2X) features.
- To seek close collaboration and have a strong voice across Nokia units conducting research, especially Mobile and Fixed Networks and to better understand and shape how advanced radio technology solutions will drive new markets.
- To actively drive agenda in relevant technology discussions inside and outside of Nokia.
