Post-doctoral Researcher in Physical Optics

The successful candidate has preferably a PhD degree or equivalent experience in physics, optical engineering, photonics or related fields with some experience in the fields of display/optics/imaging component/system design and development.

Knowledge and development capabilities in diffractive optics or computational photonics

Ability to express optical ideas mathematically and to design experiments around these ideas

Experience in optical measurements

Fluent with optical design tools such as Zemax, Matlab, VirtualLab, or similar

Scientific publications and prior knowledge of academic co-operation

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Proactive nature and willing to learn

Ability to be innovative and create invention reports / patent filings

Ability to work independently while also contributing to team-oriented projects in a highly dynamic environment

Self-starter and highly motivated to contribute to the innovation agenda and make a difference to Nokia’s business
