Payroll Specialist
- 5 – 7 years experience in payroll, preferably shared service environment (APAC exposure).
-Ownership and accountability for all payroll processes for APAC countries.
-Thorough understanding of employment related legislation in relation to APAC countries(including employment law, basic contract law, superannuation and taxation).
-Deliver and consolidate payroll data for payroll processing.
-Monthly payroll checking /validating before payment
-Overtime /standby validation based on the local country practices.
-Obtaining approvals from Country HR Manager.
-Payroll SOX / deviation reporting.
-Follow up on resolution for Payroll deviations reported, enforcing resolution with stakeholders.
-Accountability for on time processing of all payroll related payments (in most cases delivered by vendor, but payroll specialist is accountable).
-Prepare, contribute and validate Payroll Data Quality/KPI report for the country .
-Provide data for accruals and payment amounts to FSS.
-Leads audit activities in HR Site countries / non site: support the local country HR manager.
-Time management related local reports (reports for holiday accruals)
-Maintenance of internal country specific time management tools.
-Primary operational interface with payroll vendor and On Site support (where applicable), resolve and/or escalates errors and issues if needed to both HRC OS Mgr and Payroll vendor Mgr.
-Support restructuring activities, in an accurate and timely fashion, to ensure no employee harm.
-Provide advice and policy recommendations to HR Mgr in line with legislative changes and best practice.
-Provide support in conducting researches on assigned HR projects.
-Communication, networking and English language skills, customer focus and HR functional excellence.
- Prefer someone who is able to write and speak in Mandarin language, as the payroll specialist need to liaise with counterpart like vendor, statutory bodies, and employees who speak or write in Mandarin language as well.
