Optics PS system architect and integration lead
Nokia Optics GNE Optics delivery team is responsible end-to-end to deliver all Optical professional services starting from the network design till validation of new solutions and implementation in customer network.
This team works directly and closely with Professional Services PLMs to understand customer professional services requirements, translate them into deliverables and works across all the Ip and Optical functions to lead, develop and deliver on-time results to our customers.
Currently, we are having opportunity for a system architect and integration lead.
This role is responsible for definition of the solutions to integrate Nokia Optical components into customer network
He/she will have deep exposure in system integration area as well as development and operational skills related to optical network.
Minimum Experience Required: 5 Years.
Complete accountability, attitude to work in a team in project environment, good documentation skills, good communication skills towards customer and internal teams are equally important to technical knowledge and experience.
Essential Functions
In this role the architect will have the following key responsibilities:
- In presales support the offer team in the SoW definition
- Analyze customer requirements and translate(tailor) them into architecture and engineering requirements.
- Define customer uses cases, prepare system element requirements and architectural documents
- Prepare detailed system design and specifications
- Define and implement SW customisation or additional translation layers
- Prepare solution validation strategy and test list
- Work with customer during the acceptance tests, integration and implementation phases of the solution including MOP and execution of installation and migration where applicable.
- Must have hand’s on experience with system integration with solid track records
- Must have experience developing system architecture and system engineering documentation
- Must have experience on WDM/OTN optical network including GMPLS applications
- Must know how to operate a network using NMS (e.g. NFM-T and NRC-T components)
- Must have Expert Level Working knowledge of LINUX, UNIX and WINDOWS platforms.
- Must have good Level working experience on scripting Perl / Python / Shell (Linux / Unix).
- Must know and use YANG data modeling language
- Must be familiar with Network Configuration Protocol (NETCONF)
- Experienced in network management and/or network element validation in customer premises
- Should have exposure to AIM framework
- Should have good communication and negotiation skills to manage customer and various vendors
- Bachelor's Degree in IT
- 5 or more years experience in Optical networks.
- The ability and willingness to travel as per project requirements.
- English written and spoken is a MUST
