Network Solutions Specialist – Cloud, Datacenter, SDN/ NFV, SD-WAN

Job Description:

  • Work closely with key customers along side of regional business development teams to develop, validate and as needed, help to execute complex solution designs, deployment/integration/migration scenarios.
  • Work closely with Sales, Pre-Sales and product management team to develop common set of Nuage SDN solutions in agile software development based upon diversified suites of requirements and use cases from carriers, cloud service providers and large enterprises.
  • Drive and enable operationalizing the Nuage SDN solutions from POC to trial to deploy at scale.
  • Develop and publish solutions white papers, best practices, and test/document solutions.
  • The candidate MUST have good understanding and knowledge of existing Enterprise WAN and Datacenter architecture.
  • The candidate shall have good understanding of Software defined Datacenter and Software Defined WAN (SD-WAN) solutions.
  • The candidate shall have good understanding of security solutions in the Enterprise WAN and Datacenter network.
Qualifications:

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • 8 – 10 years experience in networking industry with Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or a technical degree
  • 4 or more years experience in a role requiring understanding, testing and troubleshooting of IP Routing technologies and networking protocols
  • 2 or more years experience in implementing & configuring Servers / Storage / Networks in a decent sized Datacenter
  • Hands on experience of Linux Operating Systems, including Red Hat, CentOS, and Debian
  • Hands-on experience working in virtualization environments including KVM/QEMU, Xen and/or VMware ESXi
  • At least knowledge of one or more cloud computing platforms VMWare, CloudStack, OpenStack
  • Strong interpersonal and communication (both written and verbal) skills are required· The candidate must be able to successfully work in close-knit teams 
  • Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and to work in a fast paced, innovative environment
 

ADDITIONAL ASSETS: 

  • Understanding of Cisco Viptela or Meraki or other SD-WAN solutions is big plus
  • Working knowledge of Open vSwitch (OVS), OVSDB, OpenFlow, and networking tunneling protocols 
  • Exposure to virtualization and cloud technologies such as OpenStack, virtual networking, distributed programming, Linux containers, and SDN/NFV 
  • Strong proficiency in networking protocol and device architectures (NICs, routers, switches, virtual switches, network devices like load balancer, NAT, firewall, etc) 
  • Good understanding of modern Intel platform architecture and platform advancements in CPU micro-architecture, cache and memory, IO and virtualization, etc. 
  • Any networking certification (CCNA/CCNP/CCIE or equivalent) or Linux LPI or VMware Certification is big plus

ASSIGNMENT

- Be in charge of customer relations (sales figures, customer satisfaction)

- Understand the needs of the customer, identify and develop sales opportunities and manage the

Nokia teams to answer these opportunities in the best way.

- Guarantee the interests of the company (commercial proposals in compliance with border

objectives…) and of the customer

MAIN ACTIVITIES

- Support and sell portfolio (meet customers, organize advertising events, give feedback on

customer needs evolution regarding his own market, coordinate offers)

- Support his customer internally (ambassador role)

- Manage his business (reporting process, follow the orders, etc.)

- Understand and forecast the needs of the customer, manage the development of solutions (with

pre-sales teams, architects and marketing experts) to answer the needs.

WORKING MODE

- Frequent field trips for customers (around 50% of time)

- Keep permanent contact with tendering teams, programme managers and teams
