Job Description:

Nokia Software is a high-growth segment within Nokia dedicated to building and delivering some of the largest software systems in the world in an industry in transition towards 5G. The Business & Market Strategy is a small, high-impact team focused on discovering and analyzing opportunities for Nokia Software to grow and optimize our business in cooperation with senior management. 

This intern position will support some of the exciting projects in the Business & Market Strategy team in developing business analyses and strategic recommendations for the NSW senior management. Potential topics can range from market analyses, to business health checks, to investment strategy. This position has high visibility and impact.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Structure and plan own area of work
  • Conduct desk research and primary research on selected topics in Telecom Software and Business Areas, e.g. Go-to-market, delivery, competitive analyses
  • Prepare quantitative and qualitative strategic analyses and discuss findings with stakeholders 
  • Document results in management-ready format and present project outcomes
  • Specific project topics will be agreed in line with current needs, previous experience, and personal interest
  • This position requires business experience, so is for graduate students or MBA students.
  • The ideal candidates would have background in both Telecoms Engineering or Software, as well as Business Administration, General Management, Software Management, Management Science, and related fields.
  • The position requires advanced analytical skills (Excel, Power BI), a collaborative work-style and management-ready verbal and written communication (incl. Powerpoint) and proven leadership.
  • Prior experience in strategy consultancy and/or experience in the Enterprise Software industry are a bonus.
