The WING Delivery Manager role is accountable for the day-to-day management and delivery of technical projects related to WING Network deployments within the WING Design & Delivery.


Primary responsibility is to ensure delivery of projects within the agreed time and cost with the stakeholders. This role will manage low to high complexity projects with cross impact across a number of platforms, domain areas, Integrators and Third Parties. Other responsibilities are to identify and engage stakeholders, defining costs and plan timelines, as well as bringing projects through governance processes. There is the need to constantly re-evaluate current status versus plan, challenging stakeholders to improve the quality of the delivery.


Key Responsibilities:


• To control and manage delivery of the projects, including governance processes within time and cost assigned.

• Regular reporting of the projects in terms of time and cost.

• To assess the effort for WING deployment projects in terms of resources, timelines & costs, and get the sign-off from the stakeholders on requirements as well as on delivery cost/time

• Managing suppliers engaged to bring projects to live

• To optimise costs related to WING deployment without impacting quality

• Typical deliverables include Project Plans, RAID logs, Communication plans, Project Action Logs, Regular Project Reports, Budget Control

Skills and Qualifications:  

  • Project Management experience leading large time critical projects and used to work with virtual and multicultural teams
  • Effective at reporting project status at various levels.
  • Good knowledge and experience in Mobile Core domain in 2G Circuit & Packet, GPRS, 3G/UMTS, 4G/LTE and WiFi
  •  PRINCE2/PMP certifications
  • Bachelor/Masters level Engineering/IT degree, preferably with TOGAF, ITIL qualifications or equivalent experience
  • Deep knowledge in understanding customer requirements and management of translation into technical specifications; familiarity with structured processes and standard techniques
  • International experience and proven ability to deliver within a geographically dispersed matrix organisation
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and able to adjust own style to suit audience and achieve objectives
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and spoken) and fluent in English (spoken and written), second language an advantage
