Comms intern – job description

 

Objective:

The Communications Intern will support all activities related to executive and external communications for Latin America, including (but not limited to):

  • Gather and analyze internal information to prepare briefings, memos, blog posts, presentations, quarterly communications and other communications materials as needed

  • Handle media inquiries and relevant spokespeople contact

  • Interface with media relations agencies to track results and reporting, besides reviewing press releases and following up on approval processes

  • Engage with teams to scout for relevant social media content and assist with Social Media for selected regional activities

  • Interview and produce video or other digital & physical assets scripts

  • Participate and contribute to the Latin America communications plan

  • Set-up of internal tools and management of communications channels

     

 

Candidate profile:

  • University students enrolled to Public Relations or Journalism courses (from the 5th semester onwards)

  • Fluency in English (both verbal and written) is a pre-requisite

  • The ideal candidate is resourceful and shows commitment to drive positive results

  • He/ She must have excellent communication skills including verbal and written communications and the ability to self-start and take action

  • Teamwork skills and team building skills.

  • Discretion handling private and confidential information.

  • Individual must effectively interact with all levels of management, and global peers. Expected to interface with multiple audiences including various organizations as Marketing, Media relations, Sales, Business Groups and Finance.

  • Knowledge of Business oriented IT tools: PPT, EXCEL, WORD, Sharepoint, TEAMS.

  • Experience with tools such as Yammer, SharePoint or WebEx and Design (Ilustrator, Photoshop) and Video (Adobe Premmier, After Effects) software tools or similar is highly appreciated but not mandatory.
