This is both a challenging and rewarding opportunity for an aspiring individual for his/her career growth in the world’s foremost communication company. Candidate must have broad network and working experience with the transportation industry professionals such as transit agencies, airport authorities, airline executives, port authorities and its associated system integration companies and consultants within Japan. Candidate should be able to articulate Nokia’s value proposition in the competitive environment using Nokia’s capabilities in various products, services and applications portfolios. It is essential that the candidate be capable of creating opportunities in transportation space with his/her own initiative with the end customers and partners and then be able to qualify the opportunity with proper justification aligning with Nokia’s strategy. The candidate must be capable to convince the internal stake holders with a winning proposition (such as competitive info, business model etc) in a Go/No-Go qualification process to move the project forward. Finally, the candidate must be able to work as a team member in a multi-functional team environment to coordinate the offer to fit with customer needs.

  • Bachelors or Master degree in engineering, telecommunications, business or related field or equivalent experience
  • 5-10 years experience in account management, portfolios, solutions and services sales in or into the transportation industry
  • In-depth expertise in selling/marketing and system solutions knowledge 
  • Proven track record in meeting and exceeding sales targets within the assigned territories 
  • Understands the communications portfolio required for mission critical networks
  • Proficiency in CRM tools (CRM / Salesforces.com) for pipeline / funnel management and MS tools (Excel, PowerPoint and Word) 
  • Enthusiasm in keeping abreast of technological and market trend as well as competitive intelligence
  • Ability to sell by solution and business case creation
  • Pro-Active and consultative selling approach
  • Ability to identify and engage with all key stakeholders 
  • Ability to identify and explain the sourcing process of transport customers such as MTAs and Airports
  • Excellent communication skills, both orally and written
  • Ability to perform under pressure
