IT Service Scrum master/Release Manager


 The overall objective for this position is to have a strong candidate ensuring successful agile project execution and delivery in the application landscape. The current Analytic application landscape is in front of significant development and standardization requiring a candidate with the right mindset to understand which application development activities leads to transformed and renewed landscape by utilizing the latest available technology to foster refresh of the new innovative application landscape. To be successful in this role candidate must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and be able to review the requirements with a critical mindset to secure latest solution design fitting the overall Enterprise architecture.

 The Scrum master and release manager should ensure all parties involved in project(s), both internally and externally, are fully aware of the requirements with dependencies and the correct project controls, milestones and reporting tools are present at all stages of the project.

 Key Responsibilities / Functions:

  • Ensuring all members follow Scrum values, principles, and practices.
  • Facilitating the Scrum events
  • Removing Impediments preventing effective working and coaching the Development Team for becoming
  • Self-organized and cross-functional.
  • Facilitate meetings (daily scrum, sprint planning, sprint demo and retrospective)
  • Coaching Agile practices
  • Tight grip on Agile Estimating and planning, forecasting.
  • Creating communication channel (team, Product owner, stakeholder), Servant leader.
  • Reporting the progress of Sprint to the Supplier Project Manager and the Product Owner as agreed - Protecting the Development Team from outside noise, like new requirements during the Sprint, and doing everything in his/her power to guarantee the undisturbed work atmosphere for the Development Team
  • Making sure everyone on the team understands the project’s goals and scope.
  • Helping the product owner maintain the product backlog.
  • Manage Project Sandboxes
  • Manage Code merge activities for Case Handling project
  • Support Cutover planning and execution for Feature release, Fix pack & Hot fixes.
  • Manage Pre & Post deploy activities for Feature releases, Fix pack & Hot fixes.
  • Coordinate for Code merge Error resolution.
  • Align team to DevOps best practices.
  • Participate in Release Management activities at platform level.
  • Conduct retrospectives on completed projects to support improvement to process, policy and tools.
  • Manage Sandbox refresh for project.


Job Requirements / qualifications  

  • 5-7 years of scrum/project management and deployment/release management/Devops experience with medium sized programs up to 5m Euro's.
  • Very good understanding along with hands on Devops, Jenkins, GitLab.
  • Experience in working with Agile methodology / DevOps environment.
  • Functional knowledge of applications in Case Handling area
  • Provide technology strategy planning
  • Understand current and future business goals and ongoing IT issues to ensure business success.
  • PM certification
  • Familiarity with HCM products
  • Experience of working within a multi-cultural environment.
  • Understanding of financial terms and concepts to support IT Governance documentation/business case.
  • Expertise in Application lifecycle management.
  • Expertise in Application harmonization/streamlining of landscape.
  • Expertise in Application project management.
  • Excellent oral and written communication / presentation skills - Languages: English required
  • Industry, Market & Technology Understanding.
  • Information security understanding.
  • Application / solution architecture understanding.
  • Self-confident, strong problem solving.
  • Ability to work with and communicate to a variety of audiences, executive level/peer-to-peer/ subordinate/ technical and non-technical etc.
