To drive Nokia’s and our Customers success Nokia requires highly effective internal capabilities across Marketing, Sales, Pre-Sales / Tendering and Post-Sales Service customer engagement, digitally and face to face. The Design and Realization of such Capabilities will be executed in Nokia’s global IT Business Applications unit. The Business Applications Sales & Marketing team is seeking  an innovative and passionate Senior Project Manager who shares our vision of bringing excellence in all of Nokia’s Sales & Marketing related projects.

We are seeking an innovative and passionate Senior Project Manager with a solid proven track record with Agile methodologies and Salesforce.com solutions, who shares our vision of bringing the power of cloud computing to enterprises. The Project Manager role interacts with IT Business Partners, Solution and Enterprise Architects and their teams of Technical Engineers and business stakeholders across the company to ensure that business demand is designed and delivered with strict adherence to cost / resource utilisation, scope and time. This position requires the candidate to work across and influence all levels of an organization. This is an opportunity for experienced IT Projects Managers that want to further develop their career through a combination of leadership, influence, staff management & technology skills in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. and are willing to work in cooperation with business representatives, process owners, stakeholders managers and IT partners to ensure the highest quality of capability design and realisation via complex and multifaceted projects for Nokia’s Sales & Marketing  IT portfolio.


Key tasks and main area of responsibility:

  • Accountable and responsible to plan and lead detailed implementation projects in partnership with your IT Business Partner and your business stakeholder(s), acting as the primary point of contact with business, IT, partners and vendors during the planning and execution of the project(s)
  • Oversee and control project budgets, project opex and capital expenditures and service costs: develop, monitor and meet expense and any recovery plans; continually seek opportunities for cost optimisation or avoidance.
  • Ensure all corporate governance processes are followed from Investment Proposal through to Project Closure.  Track and report using established KPIs and additional measures as required to ensure full transparency on all project execution.
  • Support demand and budget planning processes as directed by your IT Business Partner and with peers for future project demand
  • Establish staffing/resource plans collaboratively with your IT Business Partner, determine the appropriate mix of sourcing opportunities (in-house, temporary capacity, external partners)
  • Coordinate with functional leaders internally to ensure projects reach agreed targets, ensure achievement of project forecasted cost/resource utilisation, scope and on time delivery ensuring active communication to all stakeholders project status and risks
  • Ensure your team of Solution Architects and Technical Engineers, partners and vendors; design and deliver solutions that meet both business and enterprise architecture demands, adopting industry and vendor recommend best practices and out-of-the-box approaches
  • Accountable for changes in project scope, identify potential risks and devise and execute mitigation and contingency plans
  • Collaborate with your IT Business Partner to ensure business stakeholder related risks and change are actively managed via appointed business stakeholders
  • Lead your team to ensure maximum use of "out of the box" approaches to meet the agreed demand and exploit the capabilities of our primary ecosystems particularly in Salesforce, Microsoft and SAP environments
  • Accountable for ensure successful performance, system and user acceptance testing and completeness of handover and readiness for deployment using continuous devops methodologies into Nokia’s production environment via strong collaboration with peers in Operations and Service Management.
  • Working with your team and peers to identify and prioritize opportunities for project and devops process improvements and adoption.
  • Understand the performance and stability of existing live capabilities and ensure your projects build upon production experience and feedback
  • Implement and ensure compliance with clear and consistent processes and gating criteria for quality assurance of your projects and interactions with other ongoing projects or programs
  • Accountable to the existing Design Authority to ensure well planned and forecasted project led changes to Nokia’s production capabilities and consistency in all areas of project led change (e.g. common objects, shared code, permission sets, common profiles etc.) from agile projects for major ecosystems e.g. Salesforce.com

Experience / skills required:

  • 10 years’ experience of leading waterfall and agile IT projects with in-house, external professional service partners and software vendors, particularly Salesforce, Microsoft and SAP.
  • 5 years’ experience of ITIL service operations processes
  • Poses a strong customer focus, demonstrate full ownership and accountability with a keen attention to detail and drive for completeness
  • Ability to provide vision and leadership for your own team and be a strong contributor and initiative owner within the Sales & Marketing leadership team and wider as required
  • Proven track record of managing highly geographical dispersed and cross disciplinary teams
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication and collaboration skills.
  • Quick learner, self-starter, able to work independently and collaborate strongly with peers

  • Track record for active problem solving, working with complex heterogeneous technical environments and appreciation for the challenge and opportunities for operations excellence with intricate legacy ecosystems
  • Proven experience of Agile, public Cloud and Dev/Ops methodologies and the challenges to assure successful service operations; including but no limited to Salesforce, SAP and Microsoft Azure
  • Solid understanding of Agile Software Development Lifecycle and software quality assurance processes and tooling (e.g. Jira, GitHub, Jenkins, Selenium etc.)
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, SharePoint and Project and associated suite of online collaboration tools to ensure full adoption of such systems of record for all projects under your control
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field. Masters degree in business of finance preferred. Agile and Salesforce.com certifications preferred
