The Business Application Automation Delivery organization plays a role in achieving Nokia’s business targets and commercial strategy definition.  It consists of experts with various backgrounds providing an in-house centralized resource for Nokia Business teams to bring their ideas and challenges for RPA implementation to augment and speed decisions, reduce costs, and improve quality.

 

 

 

 

 

The Robotics Process Automation Process Architect will lead the high-level assessment of processes for automation using robotics. The RPA Process Architect will partner with an RPA Tech Architect to create the following:

 

1. Conduct high level RPA assessment – determine feasibility, establish business case, prepare automation proposal

2. Create RPA solution design – Details of as-is process, details of to-be state solution, establish a quantifiable business case for RPA

3. Support UAT of the automated solution – The RPA Process Architect along with the SME will lead the validation of automation solution during the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) phase to ensure it meets the solution specifications from a business view and is delivering forecasted benefits.

  

Responsibilities:

 

1. Conduct RPA High Level Assessments:

   a. Identify processes that are feasible for automation with recommendations for benefits savings

   b. Define complexity of the process as applicable to RPA/RDA solution development

   c. Recommendations to alter or re-engineer process to automate or improve automation potential

  

2. Create RPA Solution Design: This involves the detailing of the as-Is procedural steps done by the users and the design of the to-be automated flow of the RPA flow:

 

   a. Analyse & observe processes to understand the process steps and applications used to complete business transactions by a user 

   b. Complete the standard templates for PDD and SDD to ensure that all business scenarios are in scope to be configured into RPA

   c. Examples activities are as below:

 

      *  Detail Process steps, navigation, applications details (type, application elements used etc.)

      *  Study process information - SOPs, Process maps, Volumetric – trending, seasonality, cyclicality, Service levels set up (error rate / volumes, Exception handling steps, Capacity utilization: FTE, productivity metrics, average handling time etc.

      *  Process interdependencies

      *  Financial or regulatory/compliance considerations

      *  Detail understanding of the inputs to the process – structured vs. unstructured layouts, different formats

      *  Business & System exceptions anticipated during process execution

      *  Design automation flow to be unattended or attended depending on the choice of the tool

      *  Conversion of unstructured inputs to structured, if required

      *  Clearly detail each step of business logic to be configured into the robot

      *  Create alternate flows, nested validations/verifications to detail the various paths a transaction can travers through the automation flow being designed

      *  Detail the completion of a transaction as required by the process (outputs of the process)

      *  Detail the logic, scenarios that will follow the exceptional handling process in the solution design of the automated flow

    

3. Lead sign off from the process stakeholders on PDD & SDD

Knowledge:

  1. Multi-domain, multi-technology process expertise across Nokia’s business groups is desirable

  2. In depth understanding of features & functionalities of various automation tools and technologies such as Blue Prism, Automation Anywhere etc.

  3. Appreciation of new age technologies such as machine learning, analytics, cognitive computing, natural language processing etc.

  4. Experience front ending client facing discussions and interfacing with client business, IT and architecture teams

  5. Prior experience of building solutions application development / coding in C#, VB.NET will be a plus

Incumbent Profile Attributes:

  1. Bachelor’s Degree with Work Experience of min 8-10 years

  2. Exposure to Process Automation using different tools / technologies, hands on experience with RPA tools is preferred

  3. Kind of experience: Quality Black Belt or a full time Six Sigma role

  4. Professional experience in software development in languages like C, C++, NodeJS / JavaScript, Python etc.
