Description of the role 

As an IT ERP AR Finance Solution Architect, you will be a highly experienced professional responsible for applying technical knowledge in translating client business requirements into a customer solution in Finance domain - with focus on AR and Customer Relation solution.


What you will learn and contribute to

You will be creating complete end-to-end complex (standard) solution designs and will have a high degree of business process understanding, business Drivers and ERP technologies.

Also, you will be applying advanced methodologies for the analysis and design of solutions as well as leading the work of Technical Architects and Developers who code, develop, build and propose technical solutions.

  • Creates and designs solution architecture and provides technical Solution Design.

  • Works together with technology leads, Technical solution architects and partners to design solutions based on customer requirements.

  • Captures and manages customer requirements using industry best practice.

  • Manages complex assignments independently for the specific domain including consultancy to stakeholders.

  • Ensures cross-BU co-ordination in solution definition & development.

  • Defines and manages detailed architectural requirements for solution design and build work during delivery phase for projects.

  • Develops and deploys the solution architecture capabilities, tools and techniques.

  • Ensures that overall technical solution and architecture is aligned and based on the enterprise architecture


As a recognized expert, you will be representing the company externally to suppliers and partners. Part of you responsibility will be to present solution architecture & designs to stakeholders for verification and making the required adaptations.

You will act as permanent consultant in respective competence area and, for that reason, you will be expected to have knowledge of indirect tax configuration and calculation in FI module, but also understanding of Supply Chain (MM and SD) requirements linked from e2e process flow.

In addition, you will keep the alignment between enterprise architecture blueprint and recommendations and solution Design implementation. You will provide system architecture and design specifications as well as solutions to support business and operating models and other architectural or security aspects.

In this function, you may be assigned to a particular project or program in an enterprise to ensure technical/architectural integrity and consistency of the solution on every stage of its lifecycle:

  • Evaluate needed new capabilities and business requirements against platform capabilities

  • Create and maintain e2e data architecture incl. Version management considerations

  • Provide proven methods for functionality enablement

  • Determine approach for system and data migration

  • Create solution designs including (not exhaustive)

  • Interface definition & setup

  • Consult in AR and Customer Relation Management application design and overall user experience

  • Component Integration Model

  • Non-functional Requirements

  • Logical data model    

  • System technical design

  • Lifecycle strategy and management of application and functions

  • Automation and robotics capabilities


Your skills and experience

  • BSc or MSc in relevant field 

  • 5-7 years of relevant experience in ERP solution with focus on Finance functionalities

  • Understanding Cloud, SaaS, Mobile concepts, architectures, and standard deployment models 

  • Strong Business application knowledge of SAP S/4 HANA and third-party tools (e.g. CRM, Pega, SAP FSCM, Tax Engine(s)).

  • Capability to validate system solutions, design and propose alternatives from process, change, business viewpoints to best implement standard solutions.

  • Experience evaluating the change management impact of a proposed solution.

  • Ability to understand the process and solution architecture E2E across multiple technologies.

  • Comfortable with agile, DevOps and waterfall methodologies.

  • Can guide external and internal project teams.

  • S/4 Configuring capability.

  • Understanding of the relationship between costs, schedule, quality, speed in a defining a solution and make tradeoff recommendations.

  • SAP FICO/AR knowledge and Customer Relations Management

  • Demonstrable successful leadership skills and positive interpersonal skills
