The team you'll be part of
Cloud and Network Services is a leading Nokia business group that offers Network solutions on Core, Business and Enterprise segments, as well as Cloud solutions and Cognitive Services. It is a newly formed business group, that includes most of the former Nokia Software business, Nokia’s enterprise solutions, core network solutions including both voice and packet core, and managed and advanced services from its former Global Services unit. This unit will also act as a delivery channel of certain products from other business groups to enterprise customers. Cloud and Network Services (CNS) will target growth by leveraging the industry transition to cloud-based delivery, network-as-a-service business models, and software-led value creation.
Job Description
The Digital Automation organization as a part of Nokia Enterprise Solutions creates cutting-edge solutions for plug & play private industrial wireless, cellular networks and add-on applications for private enterprises and the public sector.
We are now looking for IP network and security architects to be responsible for NDAC Edge IP network solution and security blueprints and consultation. IP network architect’s job is to lead NDAC Edge networking solution evolution together with other SMEs in the networking area. Security architect’s role is to define security blueprints and defining security solutions for private network needs.
Main duties and responsibilities
- Working as an IP network architect in NDAC architecture & technology team
- Design IP networking functions for private networks
- Proactive interaction globally with colleagues inside and outside of own organization
Qualifications
- B.Sc. degree (or higher) in telecommunications, information technology or related discipline
- Deep experience in wireless communication systems in areas of 3GPP network architectures, interfaces and protocols (at least LTE and 5G). Broad understanding of big picture as well as details.
- Several years of professional IP network design experience
- Deep experience with IP routing & switching technologies
- Experience with IP network consultation
- Understanding of commercial cellular network component implementations (core, RAN, services)

- Ability to adapt to and work in international and multi-site teams
- Good English skills in speaking, reading and writing
- Proactiveness, initiative taking and get-it-done attitude
