The Operate and Managed Services team provides Level 2 support for customers all over Europe.
What you will learn and contribute to
As a Junior Core Engineer, you will be provided a structured and complete overview of Telecommunications Core Network and get opportunity to engage in administrating and maintaining the Core Network associated to mobile or fix infrastructure within a Business Unit.
You will:
- Ensure the network performance analysis is carried out and initiate the resolutions of the analysis under senior engineers’ guidance and supervision;
- Configure, test and maintain core network equipment and related service, under senior engineers’ guidance and supervision.
- Identify, diagnose and resolve network problems under senior engineers’ guidance and supervision;
- Understand how collaboration with Operational skill centre experts and vendors for troubleshooting is performed
- Repairing and recovering from hardware or software failures under senior engineers’ guidance and supervision;
- Perform preventive actions and systems performance tuning.
- Follow-up and raise tickets towards next level support
- Implement standard configuration and hardware changes in the production Environment
Your skills and experience
Mandatory:
- Currently enrolled (preferably in the final year of studies) in the Bachelor/Master’s university degree in telecommunication, computer science, informatics or any related field
- Basic knowledge in Telecom field or Programming languages
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Presentation & communication skills
- Good communication skills in English
Nice to have:
- Troubleshooting skills in Unix/Linux
- Basic knowledge in virtualization systems (VMWARE, OpenStack, Kubernetes
- etc)
- Basic Knowledge in signalling protocols: SIP, diameter, SS7, GTP, Radius
- Ability to transfer knowledge to colleagues
