The team you'll be part of

The Data-Driven Software Systems Research department is an international team of research scientists working at the intersection of software systems and software engineering research. The team’s mission is to shape the future of software systems, from creation to execution.

What you will learn and contribute to
Our Nokia products are increasingly more programmable for external software developers, with detailed documentation and open APIs. In the Intuitive Software Creation research team, we focus on building the next generation of domain-specific AI pair programming assistants. Our tools “learn” from human-written code and documentation to assist internal and external developers to more efficiently and accurately integrate specific Nokia products and APIs into their own products, by flattening the learning curve and improving overall productivity. During your internship you will get the opportunity to help build and improve these tools, get hands-on experience using state-of-the-art machine learning techniques, learn how to set up your own experiments, build prototypes and present your work within and outside the team.
Your skills and experience
- Student enrolled in a Master or PhD track of Computer Science/Engineering
- Strong programming skills in Python
- Programming skills in JavaScript/TypeScript is a plus.
- Familiarity with open source software and tooling (GitHub, Stack Overflow, Pypi, Docker, etc).
- Familiarity with Jupyter notebooks and the Python data stack (numpy, scikit-learn, pandas, matplotlib, TensorFlow) is a plus.
- Familiarity with web development (e.g. flask, nodejs, react, angular, …) is a plus.
- Having followed courses on machine learning, data mining, information retrieval or natural language processing is a plus.
