  • Around 10+ years of overall experience in the IT industry

  • Strong Operating Systems knowledge & Troubleshooting - Solaris, Linux, AIX, Windows

  • Minimum 2+ yrs of hands-on experience with Hadoop Technologies – Kafka, Impala, Oozie jobs, HQL, Spark Streaming

  • Deploy R-based algorithms on Hadoop (Cloudera based as well Hortonworks)

  • Optimization and tuning of Hadoop components

  • Services Experience including but not limited to – Data Migration, Security/SSL, Virtualization, Performance Tuning of Applications and OS, Troubleshooting, Automation using scripts

  • Middleware Experience for customizations & integrations of complex customer OSS/BSS – Apache Tomcat, WebLogic/JBoss Application Server, PeopleSoft, etc.

  • Scripting/Tools development - Shell, PERL, Python, JavaScript & PHP, editors (vi, nano or gedit) & scripting/tools

  • Programming Languages – Java, Scala (is a plus)

  • Strong SQL, PL/SQL experience

  • Design, Architecture & Sizing of databases and application components is a plus

  • Knowledge of remote device management protocols, data models, tools and technologies (including CWMP, TR-069, TR-098, TR-106, TR-135, TR-181, NAT/Port-Mapping, FW Upgrades, HTTP/SOAP RPCs, Packet Capture/Wireshark) is a plus

  • Background in ETL, data marts, data warehousing is a plus

  • Knowledge of Puppet or equivalent deployment automation tools is a plus.

  • Knowledge of standard software code development practices.

  • Office Word, Power Point and Excel knowledge is a must 

  • Strong Communication Skills – Oral & Written
