The team you’ll be part of

The Mobile Networks Business Unit has an opportunity for an Engineer to support the definition of the security architecture and maintain requirements for our Mobile network products and features management systems. This role requires someone who has a deep understanding about the methods and performance requirements for distribution of time/phase and frequency in base stations.

As specification author, you will join the Baseband & Soc architect & specification team. The team is in charge to develop middleware for new products and features on baseband platform provided by Nokia for all wireless technologies, including 5G, 5G-advanced & 6G.

You will work jointly with software experts specialized in different domains such as internal communication, security or hardware management… Our dynamic team is closely working with hardware teams and other MN teams to define the platform architecture.

The position is focused on security, start-up or internal communication.

 

 

 

What you will learn and contribute to

  •  Work with product line management and system engineers, business development teams, and customers to define architecture strategy and feature roadmap for our mobile network products and management systems.
  • Review the document for new features Common Feature Analysis Module (CFAM)
  • Provide recommended product evolution of physical, firmware, and software architecture and design.
  • Amend CFAM documents with requirements for the baseband platform development team and be the primary source of information for customer documentation and high-level description documents for network synchronization.
  • Author of detailed specification (EFS) for the baseband platform development team
  • Drive system features throughout the development life cycle, including the review of architecture, design, test plans, and customer documentation and maintenance, to ensure that they are fully aligned with the business objectives.
  • Respond to feature definition and requirements clarification questions from the development teams in a timely and effective manner.

 

 

 

Your skills and experience

  • M.S. in Telecommunications/Electrical Engineering/Computer Science/ or related field and 4+ years of experience in architecture or specification, design, and/or development.
  • Good understanding in real time environment and advanced competencies in Linux
  • Knowledge in Hardware processor and devices (switches, soc, FPGA)
  • Knowledge of Doors and MagicDraw tools is a plus

 

Additional Requirements: 

  • Solid communication skills, both technical and non-technical
  • Capable of driving issues to resolution and providing technical leadership for geographically distributed / cross-functional teams.
  • Capacity and interest to learn new technical areas and products.
