Qualifications/Key Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
  • At least 10 years of proven sales experience in a software technology company selling to the Cable service providers.
  • Ability to understand at a high level the technical value proposition and then translate it into a business value position (i.e. consultative sales approach for selling solutions). 
  • Understand Communications software, with prior employment experience in this space selling solutions such as OSS/BSS and other related software.
  • Ability to work/develop the partner ecosystem to enable a stronger go-to-market approach to increase market coverage.
  • Should be able to manage at least >5Me annual sales quota and have documented history to have consistently met or exceed targets.
  • Competitive and competitively aware: Proficient at explaining strengths and vulnerabilities - can plan accordingly.
  • Thinks strategically and can follow through tactically.
  • Executive credibility and business acumen.  The ability to build C-Suite relationships and ensure these relationships are shared with other Nokia leaders.
  • Extremely focused, disciplined, and professionally persistent.
  • Exceptional organizational, interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills – both verbal and written.
  • Customer-centric, consultative, as well as transactional: understands the market, their business and challenges; yet, knows how to ask for the business.
  • Willingness to travel 50% of a random monthly to quarterly schedule – candidate should be able to work efficiently to maximize travel schedule, customer engagement, and internal demands.

  • Experience/Skills – Candidate needs to meet the requirements listed above regarding experience level and type.

  • Attitude – Candidate needs to show they can thrive in the Nokia environment, someone who has experienced the “no pain no gain” rule of the technology market and is excited to commit to an intense environment, someone who can juggle many balls at once competently and with enthusiasm and a sense of humor. 
  • Leadership – Candidate needs to show they are adept at influence leadership both inside and outside of the organization.  Able to communicate our value proposition in a compelling way.  Prides themselves in being a leader in whatever domain they pursue.
  • Intelligence – Candidate needs to demonstrate the ability to construct logical arguments – handle objections in a clear, precise, persuasive manner. Candidate also needs to demonstrate they can grasp concepts quickly.
  • Communication - Candidate needs to demonstrate that s/he can communicate verbally; clear, concise language is used, strong engaging dialogue is presented; and they can demonstrate strong and concise writing and messaging skills.  Able to communicate with conviction and in a compelling way. 
  • Sales Campaign Management – Candidate must be able to demonstrate ability to operate autonomously and manage multiple simultaneous sales campaigns. Candidate must scale.  Candidate must demonstrate ability to deliver what is forecasted (committed and on time).
