Overview

 

The Head of Field Marketing, Sub-Saharan Africa (CEWA / SAV) is responsible for planning, organizing and executing programs that generate brand awareness, new prospects and advance existing opportunities for the CEWA and SAV sales team for Nokia.

The position resides in the MEA Field Marketing organization and act as liaisons between global segment marketing and regional sales teams. The role provides market and customer intelligence into the segment organization and will deploy high touch marketing campaigns, strategic initiatives and utilize traditional, digital, and social media channels that generate quality pipeline, move prospects and customer through the sales cycles.

 

The Head of Field Marketing also manages marketing and PR agencies and to some extent media relationships. Experience with telecommunication providers and software services is required.

 

Responsibilities

 

Develop and implement pipeline acceleration programs jointly with sales.

Research, choose, design and manage live events, social media, and communications to be included as tactics in the overall marketing mix, and ensure there is a cohesive strategy to increase engagement and response rates.

Interface with sales to determine sales enablement needs, and work with product/solution marketing to develop tools, programs in a box, training and content

Forecast, measure, analyze and report on impact of programs.

Proactively engage with the direct and indirect sales teams to coordinate, communicate, and optimize the impact of marketing activities

Evaluate, select and manage vendors that contribute to local demand creation programs including events venues and services.

Develop and implement target account strategy to support account-based and or named account selling.

Communicate and educate the sales team regarding new and planned marketing activities including global, regional and local programs.

 

 

 10 or more years in b-to-b marketing., Telecom and or Wireless experience. Software services preferred but not required.

Proven experience working with sales teams and supporting programs to drive awareness and sales; actual sales experience is highly desirable.

Ability to demonstrate track record of success in all key areas of responsibility.

Experience in using traditional, social and digital marketing channels for sales lead generation and brand awareness campaigns.

Highly motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced team environment and is readily adaptable to changing market and organizational requirements

Ability to consistently produce results on time and within budget

Ability to align tactical plans with strategies

Inbound marketing strategy/execution experience

M.Sc. in marketing or business, or comparable education/experience

MBA preferred
