General Purpose

Acts as a strategic communication consultant and advisor to the CO President.  Responsible for CO level messages including strategic messages and quarterly communication and provides relevant CO messages, reactively or proactively as appropriate for global messaging.  Designs and executes CO-level internal communication activities including all hands calls, memos, blogs, presentations etc., monitors and evaluates the activity.  Writes and edits comms materials for the CO organization, including providing advice and support in communications for the relevant CO leadership team.
 
The ideal candidate has excellent executive presence and communication skills. Broad and solid knowledge of communication channels and how to use them is essential.  We don’t have time for divas – this is a hands-on role in which the ability to advise and coach the CO President will be combined with the willingness to set up conference calls, get to grips with the minutiae of distribution lists and undertake all activities required to deliver successful executive comms, top to bottom. 
 
Main Responsibility Area

The position holder is responsible for the CP President’s personal communications, for CO LT communications and for CO-wide communications across the geography.  He or she is also responsible for providing input as requested to the global head of CO executive communications and has a dotted line to this function.

Required skills
  • Native or native-equivalent English
  • Excellent writing and editing skills
  • Extremely strong executive presence, ability to network successfully with people at every level in the organisation and to form strong networks within communications teams
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple simultaneous projects under strict timelines
  • A strong understanding of communications as a discipline and total mastery of internal (plus some aspects of external) communications principles
  • Originality of thought, the ability to think ‘outside the box’ and to bring new and different approaches
  • Team-skills and a hands-on attitude
  • 10+ years of experience
