The team you'll be part of
Nokia Bell Labs is the world-renowned research group of Nokia, having invented many of the foundational technologies that underpin information and communications networks and all digital devices and systems. Our Integrated Services & Experiences lab creates end-to-end solutions and experiences by turning disruptive research and technologies into practical systems. We aim to create new value for markets like industry, logistics, transportation, health, enterprises.
What you will learn and contribute to
As part of our team, you will:
- Lead the team researching technologies connecting our physical and digital worlds: visualizations, localization, and spatial video analytics
- Create synergies with other research groups – in particular robotics, drones and maths organizations.
- Recognize and forge strong relationship with Business Units, particularly Enterprise Solutions and our Incubation unit.
- Transfer key technology assets and prototypes.
- Ensure success in IP generation (patents) and best-in-class publications and communications.
- Recruit new, excellent and diverse researchers to the team.
Your skills and experience
You have:
- Leadership and People management skills: at least 3 years of experience building, leading, growing a research team
- Master's degree in computer science, applied mathematics or related domain
- Ability and eagerness to deliver world class research results in the space of applied Analytics and Algorithms for physical & digital world fusion
- Experience building and driving innovation partnerships with a culture geared towards impact and value creation, preferably in the enterprise / industrial domain.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- Operational management skills (program / project management)
It would be nice if you also had:
- Experience and domain knowledge in industrial / vertical domains (manufacturing, logistics, agriculture, public safety, utilities, transportation, robotics)
- PhD degree in the domain (applied analytics, algorithms for digital / physical world fusion)
