This Head of Americas Recruitment position is in the North America Market HR organization and will report to the Head of Region HR NAM but will also support the Head of Region HR LAT for Talent Acquisition and work closely with the Global Talent Acquisition Leader.

 

Key Responsibility Areas

  • Create region recruitment strategy based on the input of and in close cooperation with Business Leaders in the Region while still maintaining and heeding the overall global recruitment direction.
  • Drive the recruitment integration and the transformation as a key change agent working with other global Talent Acquisition Heads.
  • Drive the implementation of global roll-outs in own region, including but not limited to:
    • Employer brand re-instatement
    • Active sourcing, pipeline development
    • Nokia culture and leadership fit integration into selection process
    • Diversity focus and actions
    • Campus Management/University Relations
    • Metrics
  • Ensure business continuity during integration and drive for continuous improvement in recruitment delivery
    • Effective leadership in the region managing the transition of responsibility to the Recruitment Process model.
    • Build a strong partnership with the Global Recruiting to ensure quality service to the business.
  • Lead the Region Recruitment team, ensure the right competencies are available for the region; balance internal and external taskforce as well as educate Region HR and the business on the global recruitment process and methodologies, including sourcing.
  • Drive internal job market with active internal sourcing utilizing talent and succession pools.
  • Monitor legislation and court practice trends for all countries in Region, plan intervention jointly with Country HR in a proactive manner.
  • Embed actions to drive diversity into both internal and external sourcing in alignment with Global Diversity and Global Talent Acquisition.
  • External sourcing - challenge and approve external vendor usage based on total cost of ownership scenario planning, select and monitor preferred vendors.
  • Talent Insight champion for Region, aggregating benchmark/research data with own delivery’s findings.
  • Anticipate and deliver on business needs
    • Working with the business in understanding and adapting to the forecasting demand and supply (redeployment, workforce planning, interaction with business leaders, identification of projects /deals, short and mid-terms needs)
    • Project management of region specific recruitment initiatives based on skill, business and geography
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and quality of service
    • Meet with the business leaders, HR Business Partners
    • Liaison between the Americas recruiting and the global recruitment function
  • Recruitment related competence development in the region for own team, HR and Line Managers.
